I don't think so... Oscar made Brazil basketball relevant back in the days... Durant can do whatever he wants because USA is a super team in FIBA/Olympic competitions... But if you search or tell your grandfathers back in the day, Oscar is a true baller, if Internationals allowed to play in the NBA and also to join FIBA events before, Oscar Schmidt is for sure playing in the NBA... Back then, professionals are not allowed.. he is what we see right now to Giannis or Jokic back in the days...

Don't you think its more of an opposite? Being only the best player on a team gives you all the green light to do whatever you want, which in this case should be Oscar. Whereas having a team full of superstars makes it hard to do what you want because everyone has the ability to do it.

Robert, I know my history, and i know Oscar Schmidt, Bodiroga,Petrovic, Sabonis because i grew up watching those players. Stop educating me about the past because i have been reading and watching basketball on youtubes all the way back when Joe Fulks was the best player of the philadelphia warriors. I am confident enough to say that Kevin Durant is the goat of intl competition and its not even close

Nope.. that means lesser pressure to perform because you have a stack roster.. Durant able to perform very efficiency in GSW days because of stack line up with prime Curry, Klay, Iggy and Dray out there.. same scenario for US teams he played.. while although he can perform well in other teams, the efficiency when he plays for US or in his GSW days is very different than when he played with OKC, Nets and now Suns... We can't assume how efficiency Oscar before since back in the day, No stats for efficiency ratings... But many of international fans, especially older generation sees Oscar Schmidt is the greatest international baller all time... He scores 40, 50 or even 60 pts in FIBA rules that has only 40 min game.. I think even Jordan before respect Oscar's game...

tbh i am more excited with US-South Sudan game than this game, as it's intriguing to see if that showcase game was just everything going right for SSD or if they can really compete against US

I don't even think Germany is the 2nd best team on this tournament. Canada, Australia, and France might be that 2nd best team I am looking for.
