    - Risacher (23) - 6'9
    - Yabusele (33) - 6'8
    - Coulibaly (24) - 6'7
    - Ntilikina (30) - 6'6
    - Fournier (36) - 6'6
    - Traore (21) - 6'5
    - Cordinier (32) - 6'5
    - Maledon (27) - 6'4
    - Strazel (26) - 6'0

Relatively young (7/12 are 27 or younger) but dangerous come 2028. If Sarr, Risascher and Traore into stars in the NBA, 2028 will be the golden year for France.
They have the biggest chance of upsetting USA on their home soil.

USA needs to prepare for 2028 if they do not want to be humiliated at home. An All-Star Hugot Team will no longer work without Lebron, Curry and KD.

      - Murray (31) - 6'4
      - Dort (29) - 6'4
      - Nembhard (28) - 6'3

Veteran-laiden squad with only 4 players are younger than 30.
No more Murray please. Depending how Edey's NBA career pans out, he might be the better choice.

Or maybe Canada has a new star in the pipeline, 4 years is a long time.

The World has officially closed the gap between them and USA. 2028 will be even tougher for USA.

I thought that Gobert and Wemby could somehow work but it didn't. They need a point guard like Tony Parker to orchestrate their offense.

Not that far-fetch since many Canadians are taking the AAU-NCAA-NBA path.

        • It's either guys here are too young or have short memories. In the 2008 Olympics, Spain went down the wire with a loaded US team and needed a mamba-like Kobe to win. And even before that Redeem Team, sending ill-prepared US teams was no longer enough as they already regularly lost.

Just last Olympics, France beat the US before the knock-out stages and then only lost by 5 in the finals.

Because they say that this is not the best line-up without KD, LeBron and Curry on it. Now, even within these three, US looked vulnerable that they have to rely on the superb performances of the these three to win games. In 2028, US will no longer have Kobe, KD, LeBron and Curry to rely on. I don't see anyone that have the quality of these players in the current generation of US players.

            • Was hoping France to shock the World. but congrats to USA. It took another monster game from Steph and Lebron to dispose of France.

With that, my summer window is over. See you again IBN PH next year or next tournament. Asia Cup, probably(?)

              Go Philippine NTs.

              Go Boston. Beat LA!

I agree, and the last few mvps of the nba have not been American, the next generational talent in the nba is French, and every year more international talent is coming into the nba and succeeding to being more than just role players and starters. US still produces more talent but top end talent is now coming out of international ball and it’s only going to increase as basketball is becoming more popular and more money is being made

You can only do that with a team that is heavily reliant on one player. It's like a permanent double-team on one person which leaves someone else open. The other 4 players of the US will gut you if you let them.
Well, I would rather Booker kill France than Curry.. if Curry is hot, it's game over already...

Because there still quality Americans will replace them before... From Jordan, Bird and Magic in 1992 to Barkley, Miller and Robinson in 1996 to Carter, KG and Allen in 2000 to Kobe, Bron and Wade in 2008 to Kobe, Bron and KD in 2012 to Melo, KD and Kyrie in 2016 and last one of KD, Bron and Steph in 2024... If you look the quality of players of before and the future is huge... It's a huge drop from KD, Bron and Steph to possible 2028 team of Edwards, Tatum and Haliburton (or Brown)... The quality players who are being handled by Americans in past is now international players.. the next KD is international is Wemby, the next Bron is Giannis and the next Curry is SGA or Luka..

My point was about people claiming that the world has now caught up. They have caught up with the US years before. The invincibility has been gone.

The wins in 2008, in 2021 and this year could have very-probably flipped the other way with an unlucky bounce or two.

How about Germany and Serbia? I think they are still intact.. Germany should add Hartenstein and Kleber to strengthen their line up.. while Serbia still strong as long as Jokic is there.. I think one team that we should look out in 2027 and 2028 cycle is Bahamas.. I think they are the next team who will be in the course of being contenders in international basketball

Yes they are... Before even they bring their C team they can win World cup or Olympics in a blowout fashion.. but not this time... They have to bring best players to win gold...

Look at the other participants of 2008 versus the ones today. The reps from Africa and Asia at that time were easily demolished by their opponents.

Yes Spain was at USA's level, Argentina and Lithuania were OK. But the rest of the world were no where near where they are today. Even the other European countries were mediocre at best.
