SMB has been an eyesore in the EASL right from the get go. Its performance is a shame for Philippine basketball. Nakakahiya!
At least yung Meralco alam mo may determination to win & is really playing for pride, most of its loses were close games. SMB on the other hand, puro talo na nga, most of its loses were tambak.

Don’t ever want to see SMB participate in that tournament again.
What compounded or complicate more is PBA’s nature of Manila- centric. Their eschewing or reluctance to try with home and away format is somewhat archaic.

But EASL representatives will determine who will be the finalists of AFC.. and SMB is very strong at AFC due to Junmar.. only Meralco, Ginebra and TNT can match up against Junmar led SMB in AFC.. maybe Converge but there are not proven anything yet...

Pretty strong showing by Converge but a loss. I think they were down in the 4th by 18 or something when JMF got a landing spot foul/flagrant foul and had to sit. Converge was able to catch-up and tie the game. Stockton got a wide open look for 3 to take the lead I think. And he also got a somewhat good look to tie the game. The 4 pt fouls on CJ were pretty weird though. It's hard to take a foul with a guy facing up on the 4 pt line. CJ though gave Converge hope by missing 3/4 FTs. Arana is a big loss for Converge. He gives Converge a strong post presence and a good post defender. That's why it is hard to defeat Converge because he can be a focal point if a local is defending him. Also, the 4 pt shot is a game changer. Heading I think had 2. It was instrumental for their comeback. They couldn't finish though.

Disgusting officiating gifting SMB with a dirty win. Those calls against Heading (Perez foul) and Stockton (who actually made a play for the ball against Fajardo) decided the game.

Wild game! Looks like they gonna give Perez 4 free throws.
