  • I hope this is the beginning of Terrafirma being a farm team to all, not just SMC lol. If there's big money involve, hindi na siguro sila mag-iinarte sa mga team.

Converge has acquired the rights of Jordan Heading from Terrafirma.
Next stop, Mikey Williams. This team will be scary

Better for them (alongside blackwater and Northport) to sell their franchise to the serious owners who are willing to invest in the PBA.. they are the main reasons why PBA is in their dark side of the popularity nowadays...

          • im guessing this increases the chance of Heading going to Gilas, whats Abando up to these days? for a guy who relies alot on his athleticism he sure is not afraid to waste his prime years.

Maybe he wants to be in a team that wants to win.. not on a farm team.. Abando likely a top 5 pick if he decides to join next season draft.. Unfortunately, 3 of those 5 teams will be the farm teams such as Dyip, Northport or Blackwater.. I'm sure he wants to avoid those teams... Phoenix will also unlikely draft him, They will targeting either QMB or Philips...

Not sure about that as Converge is under Pineda.

It’s well known he isn’t very popular with the PBA board.

I hope hong kong will be as competitive as the bay area dragons

                    • Pineda needs to be careful if he doesn't want to end up like Bong Tan when Tanduay was still in the PBA. Pineda seems to be a guy who isn't used to not getting his way, but the PBA board would likely humble him soon enough.

but unlike bong tan, the pineda has a crazy political power base and can make everyone disappear

I dont think it is only Pineda we are talking about. We are talking about also the Laos and Dennis Uy (Pampanga) joining forces because they realized they need to be joining forces for them to have a chance battling the bigwigs.

                          • If Converge still plans to acquire Mikey Williams, they have no choice but to let go of either Stockton or Winston for TNT to accept the deal. I don't think they'll let go of their wings or bigs in exchange for Mikey. Assuming they get Mikey without losing Stockton or Winston, their guard position would be so loaded that someone would need to come off the bench.

Imagine having Heading, Williams, Stockton, Winston, Cabagnot, Andrade. They could build a security agency with all these guards, geez.

Phoenix - Donovan Smith (6'10", 31 years old)

San Miguel - Kenneth Faried (?) (6'8", 35 years old)

Some of them have legit Nba Experience. Most of them played in nba g league and multiple countries though.

So far, only Terrafirma tapped a legit 7 footer in Ryan Richards. Others went with Versatile 6'8-6'10" Players.

I need to research each one of them to see who has the best resume
So far, the import list looks promising. Ratliffe's real height is 6'6 though.

Hoping that Ginebra, TNT, ROS and Blackwater will go for a taller reinforcement. Specially ROS and Blackwater for obvious reasons. Blackwater's frontline is too lacking even for the All-Filipino conference. Who will guard the opposing imports? Jopia? Hill? Even the veteran trio of Ponferrada, Guinto and Chua won't be able to contain a Ricardo Ratliffe or Cheick Diallo. I doubt that George King's scoring exploits can sufficiently cover their limitations in the defensive end.
On Ginebra, JB needs a much deserved breather to extend his longevity.

If SMB snags Faried their coaching staff must give Junmar the green light to take at least five attempts per game beyond the arc.

Cant expect TNT to be lowballed here for just draft picks etc. Etc.

I still think that their end goal is a trade for Barefield.
Converge sealed the deal with Heading, further solidifies them as a team that's willing to spend on a marquee player.

Mercenary or not, it's shown that when the money is right, Mikey will play.

Win-win situation and of course only the loser is Blackwater.

                                Converge - Mikey
Blackwater - Winston and JL Delos Santos
                                TNT - Barefield

And possibly in the near future, I think TNT danggles either Nambatac or Pogoy for Bolick or Kiefer to finally prepare for Castro's retirement.
