  • Brownlee making two crucial stops. And a Jordanesque pull up jumper on RHJ.

    • Ginebra takes the must win

      • I was critical of Mav but he stepped up big time for Ginebra, but i think the key adjustments are..Holt as a primary defender for RHJ. Plus the rotations of Tenorio and Scottie and Maverick and RJ, this established their rhythm on offense.

Well, at least Japeth has that mid-range jumper to offer -something that Arana doesn't have. Arana is really more of an inside player. If only Arana is 2 inches taller & has a reliable medium range jumper, he would definitely be serviceable for Gilas.

Kemark Carino would be better if we're talking about younger bigs. Better rim protector and overall defender, can play both bigman positions, and has more range (he shot OK from 3 last season, if I'm not mistaken). Downside lang is that he can be an offensive liability with his poor finishing, as I saw last year. I dunno if he got better there.

Arana is exclusively a center at just 6'7", and while he is strong, I think he has neither the length nor the mobility to make up for his lack of size. Defense could be a concern.

            • Stop it with the Arana suggestions. The guy is not fit for FIBA. Period.

              • well okay, Arana is probably abit too much but we still have Carino and even Balti, but point is I do not want to see Japeth in Gilas uniform ever again.

                  I'd rather take Balti.

Japeth shouldn't have been recalled in the first place, as he retired after the Asiad. We will need to transition from him and get the personnel to make that transition easier.

To be fair, I think he was decent defensively in the OQT.

With AJ Edu available for the 2nd window, then maybe coach Tim won't include Japeth in the Gilas roster for the 2nd window.

We have Kai, Junmar, & Edu playing center, with Tamayo & JB as the fours. Malonzo might even play in the 2nd window. So I think bastante na mga players natin playing the 4 & 5 positions.

Having Japeth in Gilas would only mean one slot being wasted that should have been given to a younger & developing player.

Saka we only have NZ as the toughest opponent. HK should be a breeze as long as we don't get overconfident and play our usual game.

They should did that since game 1.. I think Tenorio is a must in their series vs TNT.. RJ still have nerves playing in this level...

I doubt that LA will have consecutive great games. TNT will adjust and will definitely go for the kill in Game 4. they cannot afford to have a tied series and the momentum swinging to Ginebra. its going to be a disaster. napaka notorious pa naman ni Al Chua pagdating sa impluwensya ng mga game officials.

RHJ also has the ACQ after this. Lool

He would like some rest too. No way TNT will allow this series to go seven games.

If TNT wants to win this series, it's Oftana and Pogoy should elevate their games.. scoring just only 10 and 9 pts in a finals game is not acceptable since they are best locals of TNT.. RHJ already did their part, it's the locals should do their part too, especially to these two...
