Game 7, if ever, is on 10 November. The NZ game's on 21 November. Break's for more than a week.
However, I think Gilas might need a longer break for the tournament proper, maybe a month or two.
For every window qualifier, a 10-day preparation prior to the 1st game of the window qualifier is good enough. Yan din ang preparation ng halos lahat ng national teams, Asia in particular."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

For me among coach Yeng's fault was not choosing players like Dondon Hontiveros & Jimmy Alapag for the team out of personal animosity.
Sorry, I forgot that coach Yeng also handled the ragtag RP team in the 2018 Asian Games with Jordan Clarkson in tow. I don't blame coach Yeng for that team's failure to make it to the semis despite having a Clarkson. That team was assembled at the last minute & Clarkson joined the team only during its 2nd game of the tournament. Kulang sa cohesion ang team na yun & it wasn't coach Yeng's fault.

Never thought I would see Romeo arguably still in his prime age getting outplayed by a young RJ Abbarientos.
Terrence Romeo was supposed to be the next best pg in Asia and take the mantle from Castro. What could have been.
Remember the days that PG's were the least of our problems. Now that we have good wings and bigs, it's now the area that's not our strongest.
I still don't see it in guys like RJ or SJ, the level that Romeo played before from 2015-2018. He's really that guy, arguably at least on the level of Kawamura.

afaik Guiao had a pretty well known feud with Alapag, as for Parks maybe he just didnt like the guy. I do get why he didnt take Romeo though, this was peak nutcase Romeo in TNT.
but i dont think he had problems with Romeo (like what Robert disclosed) though.

RJ is arguably the closest thing to Kawamura we have today.
