I am talking about age-wise though. RHJ's peak in the NBA was like about 8 years ago meaning he was on his earlierst 20s that time, you can't just consider that as a prime. I remember years ago that he said he is still trying to get back on the NBA, it is just that he has no place anymore there because of his lack of shooting. But we all know right now is his prime, from his first stint on TNT at 28 yrs old, up until now where he is 30yrs old, this is just the general timeline of an athlete where you could say it is definitely their prime.

I agree that he is better than he what deserve right now by just playing in the NBA, but no one could tell me that JB was not an NBA caliber either on his prime.

As what CTC said exactly, "he should have been in the NBA."

those are pretty damn sure valid statements coming from knowledgable basketball identities.

I don't have anything against RHJ, what I was just saying that this matchup could have been a match made in heaven had they were against each other during their prime.

His role and skill set in the nba was more of a draymond green , ak 47 type . Small ball big and once his athletic ability left him they didn’t need to guard him on offense. As he got older he skilled up on offense but more of a mid range / ball dominant guy.

Brownlee is more of a scorer not a role typical role guy. Since he’s not that good defensively he’s like more of a less athletic Demar Derozan. Probably good enough to play but not fit for a role as a 3&d guy

Yes, we want to see 5 years younger JB vs today's version of RHJ, but I think even on their primes, RHJ will be better than him... Think of it how he singlehandedly put Jordan as one of the top Asian teams, despite locals are not that good, w/o RHJ, Jordan is just level as KSA or Qatar... With him, they might be a top 4 team in Asia.. think of it.. JB is always playing with stacked roster, so it's easy for him since pressure are lessen.. I will put my money on RHJ here.. if both will be import of Terrafirma, RHJ might make Terrafirma more competitive than JB if he will plays of Terrafirma...

If I recall, Jordan went to the 3rd-place game in the FIBA Asia Cup with Dar Tucker as their NP. They also had a FIBA Asia Championship bronze in 2009 and a silver in 2011. I think they've been an Asian power for quite a while.

Nambatac, Pogoy, Oftana, BGR and Erram starting 5 are tough.. remember, BGR will be back for them, their Frontline will be tougher.. maybe PG is not that deep, but you will expect a move for TNT this coming off week season to get a good back up PG for Nambatac.. I will not surprise if they will contact Mikey for possibly comeback to TNT or a huge trade involving him in couple of days... I will put my money on TNT this time around.. this is the best chance for a rare grandslam...

Is this confirmed? This might be the reason why Erram trade rumors came up. Yes BGR would be a big boost for them. He played great in SEA games but I forgot his play in the PBA.

There's a difference between shooting against NBA level defence and PBA or Asian level.. RHJ might be an ok shooter in here but there's no telling if he would still shoot the same pct in the NBA

Line up wise it seems GSM is better in the AFC. It's just it seems their not maximizing their talent. Holt should get the most usage of that lineup but he is only used as a 3D guy. Malonzo doesnt seem to be close to 100%. Getting Rosario was big for them. He could basically play 4 and 5 and even good at switches. Not sure though who will be their focus on offense in the AFC is.

TNT is a bit lower lineupwise than GSM. They don't really have a perimeter stopper. Nambatac is good but he is no Castro or Mikey Williams. The Erram/Williams frontline is not as strong as some.

Meralco being the AFC champion should be the favorite. They have a complete line-up. If Bates is healthy they should be favorites.

After these 3, you can say SMB, ROS, Converge and Magnolia should make waves. SMB with Junemar still is a threat in the AFC. But they are weak at the guard spot to be a Finals favorite. ROS is deep and it seems Nocum has some potential to be a star. Converge arguably has the best 3 guard lineup in the league. But their success relies on Justine Aranas health aka mini JuneMar. Balti still needs some development to be a primary threat in the PBA. Magnolia is exciting because of Zave Lucero's improvement. Arguably the most exciting big in the league right now. They have some holes in the guard rotation though. They still rely a lot on Barroca and Lastimosa, although becoming a force on offense, seems to be negative on defense after his injury.

Huge for them will be BGR will be back for them.. this is their chance to win AFC, SMB on rebuild mode, ROS and Ginebra are having mentally challenged how to beat TNT, Magnolia are laughingstock as of now, Converge are not yet there, Meralco is actually the toughest roadblock for TNT grandslam road but because they are under one umbrella, Meralco might take a back seat, others are fillers only... I'm sure MVP camp will do their best to focus on TNT 's bid to get that elusive grandslam, first under their umbrella...
