ROS accidentally (?) found their Go to guy already... He's like Jimmy Alapag younger days... If Villegas already found his momentum then ROS can match up against powerhouse teams in the PBA... I just thinking if ROS didn't let go Galinato then they already have their bruiser big man that can help Belga, Datu downlow.. This is what I said it before before Lemetti comes to them.. ROS lacked of go to guy in those past years that can elevate themselves into contention.. they always rattled in crucial games, against Ginebra when they won, Lemetti also save ROS in crunch time that in the past they lacked of it.. Nocum is good but he ain't clutch...

So pba is being blessed by Fil Foreign talent again

      Barefield, Lemetti

And soon, maybe QMB, Hepa, Michael Phillips, etc.

maybe one of the Edus (AJ or Femi). though I would want them to try overseas first
And here I think the quality of fil-foreigns playing in the pba right now is quite low. I'm hoping the next Asi, Danny. S, Menk, and Caguiao are on the horizon.

        Phx aint going anywhere..
Not yet .. I don't think even they can beat Meralco in a series just yet.. they need another one solid big to match the bigs of other teams... Belga is old although useful while Datu seems he is comfortable playing perimeter than low post threat... Villegas meanwhile he's not fully recovered.... They just lucky getting Fuller that plays Inside, but they will have a problem when AFC comes.. They should not trade Galinato that time.. He could be the big man that ROS needs... They just need 1 big man away (atleast ala Bates level) to be a true contender...

They probably wouldnt be getting Lemetti if they didnt trade Galinato. Galinato was traded along with Ponferrada for a first round pick by TNT last draft in which ROS had 2. (their own plus the TNT pick).

Coach Yeng disclosed that getting Lemetti was a gamble since they already got an established player in Caelan Tiongson.

          • The Galinato/Ponferada trade for TNT's first round pick would be for next years draft. The TNT-ROS trade this year which turned out to be Felix Lemetti was the Nambatac BWE trade, which pick originally from TNT. So next year, ROS have 2 first round pick again. Looking at ROS line up, they are young and every player can contribute anytime. I dont think ROS needs the 2 first round pick next year, maybe trade for a future picks?

Oh yeah my bad. Thought it was the last draft.

They need replacements for Borboran and Gabe though for next season's draft. Belga is still serviceable, heck he even flirted with triple doubles last conference when they needed him since Datu and Villegas are unavailable.

Gabe signed for a one year deal. this might PROBABLY his last season. we'll never know.

Nope.. that is for next year... That draft pick they get Lemetti from TNT was from Mikey trade (that was hold by Blackwater until they get Nambatac from ROS last year)... Blackwater get many first round picks from TNT since 2020 since TNT get Parks, Erram and Mikey until 2024.. That Galinato trade is with 2025 draft.. ROS will have another 2 first round picks next year..

Blackwater get TNT's first round pick since 2021 (it was 2020 but removed a year later due to pandemic):

2021 - From Parks trade that includes Semerad and Trollano

2022 and 2023 - From Erram trade that includes Micheal Miranda (they get 2 1st round picks)

2024 - From Mikey Williams trade that also include Simon Enciso, David Semerad, and a 2nd rounder (that was hold by Blackwater until they trade it to ROS for Lemetti)

And also not so sure about Caelan Tiongson future since I'm sure he's only a rental player.. Remember, he has issue with ROS with Salary before contract signing.. I'm sure he wants bigger salary and ROS can't do anything about that... They need those picks for back up plan since for sure ROS can't keep all of those players especially those who want bigger salaries.. Clarito, Lemetti, Datu, Mamuyac and Nocum for sure wants a bigger salaries and ROS can't keep all of them...

                    • ROS should have gotten Lucero to take the reins from Norwood.

                      • Lucero can't guard Junemar Fajardo.

interesting i thought GR III was doing well, if not abit inexperienced.

Lucero was slow and a bit ground bound in his rookie year. Granted he gained weight but it might also his repaired knee has affected his laterals. Meaning he won't be as an effective perimeter defender he was in college.

Maybe better than Villegas right now.. the later can't make his groove yet in the PBA
