Did Ramon Fernandez, Allan caidic scored many points in a single game even in their late 30s too? Or Harris or Parks did it in the past? I think they did it too...

    • If you are Northport, what you will do to the Dave's situation? Will you hold his rights or trade him? From Slaughter, Rike, Bolick and now Dave, Northport seems hitting their Bad Karma these days.. Almost all of their players are former SMC and for sure it is subsidiary by SMC in terms of salaries (Just ask Roger Yap)...

SMC is the big boss here and there feud with Danny I is likely the big issue. If Dave had a different father I guess he wouldve gotten what he wants right now.

Not when Bobby Parks Sr., Harris, Caidic & Mon Fernandez were in their mid-30's did they score 40 to 50 pts. in a game. I think scoring 40 to 50 pts in a game when one is 31 or 32 isn't really that surprising or amazing. But scoring that much at 36 yrs of age is something.

I've seen the games of Parks, Caidic & Fernandez when they were 35 or 36. They were obviously water down versions of their prime selves at that time. Fernandez & Caidic at 38 or 39 were just as good as averaged PBA players at that time.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

I think it's a problem with the salary. But I don't think Dave has a leverage here. The fact that he joined the draft means that his KBL stint is over. He can't use the salary there as basis for his asking price. I think NP is open to trading him though. I hope this ends up well for him.

            • I don't know if the 4 pt shot can reel in the fans but it seems to me it's changing the game. NP's import has been maximizing it. He went 3/3 against TF I think. This was the main reason they were able to put separation despite not being able to stop TF's import. Now they were able to come from behind. It is harder to protect a lead if you're playing against a team with a good 4 pt shooter.

Danny I should already informed Dave's agent that he should be picked outside any SMC related teams (including farm teams), same as Bronny's agent that bronny is for Lakers only... I think if Northport knew this then they will not picking Dave.. now both on the losing end, I can't blame Dave and their team.. Northport is not a good destination for any draftees... Many players leaved Northport because of their disintention to be competitive in the league.. those young guys wanted to be winners on their careers...

Maybe yes, but Northport's reputation is not good anyway.. I can't blame Dave and his group for not enticing any negotiations in Northport... The team has no intention to win anyway.. I don't want to be part of losing culture...

I think Danny I also has a say when it comes to the negotiations. Snow disclosed just last night that Dave doesn't have any agent / representation.

If they only knew makikialam ang tatay especially since he has a rift with SMC then they should have gotten Tiongson / Cansino / Poli / Lemetti instead.

I think they will just let Dave go, si Greg nga pinakawalan what more si Dave.

They didn't yet Greg go, since they still hold their rights yet.. Northport needs to put Greg as UFA before we say they let him go... I don't know how many players per team they can put a player in RFA list.. Northport already have two players on their list, Greg and Rike... I was shocked that they let Bolick go without any good assets return...

I bet that even in his late 30's Brownlee would still be good enough & competitive as a naturalized player for Gilas in the Asian level game. He could even play as Ginebra's import in the PBA even in his late 30's. Brownlee is blessed that perhaps he never suffered serious injury throughout his career & perhaps he also takes care of his body so well.
that's why i want to have two imports in the commissioner's cup but as of now i think it's only one import with unlimited height, as for sure he will still be Ginebra's import, i think against unli height imports marshmallow Go and Japeth are not enough to deal with big imports, so having two imports Ginebra can get a center to play alongside Brownlee

A two-import setup might be a challenge to implement if we don't consider hiring backup bigs as imports.

We lack starting-caliber centers (only Japeth, CStand, June Mar, and Arana fit the bill; maybe Bates and Laput), but we do have a number of capable players who can play 4 like Perkins, Hodge, Troy, Santillan, Calma, Lucero. Balti's incoming too. Guys like Erram, Almazan, Sangalang, and even Mo could slide down to that spot. Maybe a go-to guy at the 3?

For the record, I'd also like a two-import spot. 2nd import should just depend on the needs of the team.

a scorer wing and a defensive big are my ideal combination of imports in case the league implements a 2 import format

Like that Ange-JB tandem during the Asian Games, the setup wont take that many mins away from locals since they’ll occupy positions we are weak at (center and tall wings)

                              • Finally a breakout game for Cansino. Would've sucked if he turned into another Pasaol.
