But Northport doesn't want to trade him to Converge because both have ugly relationship between both after Danny I comments against them.. Maybe ROS can pull it through since ROS have no ugly relationships with all of PBA teams (although they don't trade often with SMC teams) and they have better assets to put Northport to agree the possible trade with them.. with most of local talents going overseas, keeping picks is not ideal.. unless the draft class is stack, I think the rookie class next season will not be loaded as previous seasons.. ROS have two picks next draft, although will be bottom since ROS have good season so far, I will trade 2 first round picks plus maybe Lemetti for Dave plus another useful player or maybe Dave alone.. It's obvious that Nocum can't handle scoring alone, if he's off night then it's over for ROS.. Dave is an ideal option for them since ROS badly needed another scoring guard outside Nocum...

When SMC or MVP gives a better offer they usually give in. I think they have less deeper pockets than Converge. Who were able to pry Heading's rights from NP, most probably not at a cheap price.

They got a bit lucky in their last championship, with Pierre Niles. The guy was unathletic and not very skilled. But he had the bulk to negate prime Fajardo. So they won a championship. The primary reason they are actually competitive now is that they have one of the bigger imports. GSM and TNT have smaller imports. A skilled bigger import opens up their locals in the perimeter and covers up for their lack of rim protection.
Yes, ROS has and still have limited budget, but I think they can give rookie max contract to Dave (they give it already to Tiongson).. they can just be creative on how to maximize what they have.. maybe just ask Norwood to retire, they have Tiongson, Clarito and Santillan as wings.. Norwood still receiving max contract.. I don't think it's still worth it to give him that contract... They can't get quality players if Norwood still in the line up.. he's done already, better put Norwood in their coaching staff..

In terms of attendance yes, but they still benefit thru advertising, free ads...

Which one are you citing. PBA is not getting any ad revenue from broadcasting PBA in TV5

I think similar on what his batch mates receives... Rumors that Northport will only give 150-200k per month while lower than him in draft order such as Tiongson and Policarpio receiving higher than 200k.. that's why Dave's camp not happy Northport treating with Dave...

I said Free ads, they still benefiting free advertisment rather than paying celebrities million pesos in just 1 minute of airing..

Thats true. But like Alaska, it makes more sense to use the money to advertise to TV network and get more engagement from social media than in PBA.

                  • Once again, in a slowdown game, a more efficient team like TNT will have an advantage that a high volume or high possession team like ROS. The way ROS play, they need to play in a higher pace than yesterday's game.

its not about profit for the governors, its a expensive hobby for them (which happens to be tax deductible)

It's too expensive.. it will take millions to rent 1-2 minute ads in TV, plus hiring celebrities that also cost millions too.. if you compute it for 1 year, they will spend almost a billion for those ads for a year.. meanwhile, a possible spend for PBA stint operations will likely 150-200 million per year.. depending on cost operationally... Remember Ramon Ang said he spend 1 billion for his PBA teams, he has 3 teams by the way.. I will not include rumored farm teams allegedly for his camp... So per team he spend more than 300 million... So a PBA stint will have a leverage not spending on advertising because PBA can provide that for almost every year...

                        • Not sure why RoS has been lethargic on taking outside shots, I understand that their over reliance to it on the previous conference was their downfall but they need a better balance between the two, they played like Classic Yeng teams with enrico villanueva and junthy valenzuela pounding the ball inside and midrange jumpers

                          • Seems like JB has massively dipped this year, im not sure if he's overplayed but even Oftana can easily drive against him now

If im not mistaken, he was confined early this week due to asthma? Maybe that was a factor of his dip in play tonight.

JB has been struggling for a good part of this conference.
