Sad. There are many other ways to improve the league this is not it.

guess what, there are rumors swirling around that PBA board is considering 20 second shot clock.

haha puros DDO offense na lang since it does not need a longer time for the play to develop , unlike European plays

well shorter shot clock has pros and cons. players need to think on their feet and be snappy when making decisions. if players become used to the 4 point line and shoot them at a high clip plus they play intelligent with shorter shot clock, FIBA game will be easier. If you can hit 27 footers consistently in games and in practice, shooting from 3 becomes easy. It's depth perception.

But the cons are well, it might become a circus where most of them will just settle for long bombs, you don't have to think to do this. or the floor will be too stretched they can blow by defenders and drive to the basket with relative ease. This is not and will never be the case in FIBA where the floor is tight.

One thing's for sure, they may laugh at first, but world will be watching the PBA. If this goes south and the games become an eyesore they'll just revert back to old rules.

                    • there's a game between DLSU and ROS, DLSU is keeping it close against a pro team with an import

This is what Im saying. The top UAAP teams with their FSAs are really good teams. The UAAP is no joke. That is why several of go straight to Asian leagues as imports instead of the PBA.

though they only lost by a point, they were in control most of the 4th quarter, and has a lot of missed open three, i am excited to see La Salle against the old team of Topex Phoenix, though i still want to see the top college teams against the top PBA teams

UAAP intensity is different and execution is very crisp. Tactics are employed. That's why some players who can't keep up move to bara bara style of play in the NCAA where it's just run run run shoot (example Will Gozum)

PBA players may be better individually but cohesiveness and IQ of UAAP teams in the modern times is unmatched. Players do commit errors from time to time since they're amateurs but they play high intensity smart basketball all throughout the game.

also, imagine UP with 6'10 QMB, 6'9 Sean Alter, 6'6 Francis Lopez, 7'3 Jordan Wilmore, 6'6 Chicco Briones vs Phoenix with no import.

                              • ROS with their veteran players, former Gilas players and also playing with an import should have beat LaSalle convincingly. But La Salle outhustled ROS and had better half court sets. Its either CYG was out coached by Topex or that the PBA gameplay has stagnated and have fallen so far off that the collegiate style of play has caught up with it. I think even without QMB UP could win and even blowout ROS.
