SMB has been an eyesore in the EASL right from the get go. Its performance is a shame for Philippine basketball. Nakakahiya!
At least yung Meralco alam mo may determination to win & is really playing for pride, most of its loses were close games. SMB on the other hand, puro talo na nga, most of its loses were tambak.
Did Meralco also lost close to 20 pts. against Ryukyu

Meralco didn't have one of its import in that game. I think it was a 17 pt loss to Ryuku
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV
Navarro but is more of an SF. The other good young bigs are ineligible. We dont produce enough 6’7 and up guys. I dont think there is a promising a UAAP one. KQ is apparently just 6’4 without shoes only good for SF. I dont think there has been a PF Gilas candidate from college since Tamayo. Well there’s Amos a rare eligible Filfor.

San Miguel also did not have two imports in their 2 games ago. Also, it was better benching their two first import
Meralco have Kwame and 2 imports yet they can dominate
Arana is not FIBA material, Balti needs to get some reps in Gilas would not expect some major contribution from him at the moment, Carino needs to play in an actual team to get reps, QMB if he applies for the PBA is probably in the conversation, Mike Philipps in the near future.
Zave Lucero is slowly becoming Magnolia's best local player as a lot of Magnolia's key players are now ageing. Ian Sangalang is now 33, Paul Lee is around 35, Calvin Abueva is 36, & Mark Barroca is already 38. The respective games of these players are on a downhill while that of Lucero are expected to further improve.

I forgot Zav but yeah hes definitely in consideration for Gilas
Unfortunately, Lucero isn't FIBA eligible at least for now.

I wouldn't close the doors on Pablo, Gagate and even Raven Gonzales and Demisana. They're most likely in the timeline of average pinoy bigs who hit their stride as they near 30.
Youth brigade for teams converge and northport are working wonders.
youth is definitely the theme of the current conference, old aging lineups are struggling, young teams are thriving, maybe except TNT but thats also bec they invested alot on younger players

Yes. That’s true. Unfortunately with the size and skill of the FSAs and Filfors these homegrowns so far can’t compete. Gagate is still with UP but got injured I think. However, they usually employ mobile SF types as PFs. Gagate despite his height has never been a rim protector so I’m not sure if he’ll be effective as a C.
Pablo is an example of an HS guy who couldve benefited from FSA competition in senior high. The guy still hasnt developed a perimeter shot.
Of the 3, Demisana had the best potential as rim protector coming from HS. I heard he had oral surgery or something. Is it possible there was a complication? The last time I saw him he looked slow and uncoordinated. Far from what he showed in HS and in batang Gilas.
So so far it doesnt look good for their batch of homegrowns.
Edit: Raven was mobile when he was young. After injuries he doesnt seem to have any outstanding feature other than his height and wingspan. Looks slow and doesnt look skilled.

TNT are mixed between old veterans and young guns.. Oftana is 29, Aurin is 27, BGR is 29, Galinato is 28, Razon is 25... Young by PBA standards...
this shows Bay Area > Eastern.. Bay area has good team overall from coaches(goorjian) to imports and locals (though some of them are now playing with eastern
Bay area has myles powell and nicholson who are both former NBA players in comparison to McLaughlin and Clark..
