Converge went to the post with Arana. Datu and Tiongson couldn't stop him. From there Stockton and Heading were freed up. Arana also helped in defending the import. Arana is a mini-JMF. He is a bit slow because of his bulk but if you can't take advantage and you can't defend him, it will eventually be an easy win for Converge.

Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

A 6'9 barefoot Tamayo might be in the NBA, there he'll be listed 6'10/6'11.
I think our average player height is about 2-3 inches below usual world norm (which means if we add 2' to our players, they become world-standard). It's improving though, the gap used to be wider.

yeah, we are catching up. China is no longer the undefeatable monster it was once during the 80's-90's. With the rise of a healthy duo trio of Fajardo, Sotto and Edu, Gilas will be a major stumbling block for other Asian countries similar to China's Yao, Menke, and Wang era. And with a localized Kouame, Phillips, and eligible QMB, Cone can just close his eyes and randomly pick two of our bigs to play together on the court and we will be just as competitive. Sotto, Fajardo, Edu, Kouame, QMB, Tamayo, Phillips, and KQ in one era is a dream come true for any Pinoy basketball fan.sigpic

excluding Fajardo
all those players you've mentioned can be serviceable to the Gilas program for 10 to 15 years barring no more major injuries(pls).
a healthy diet and lifestyle is really a key to strengthen those ligaments as a whole moving forward.

We used to guard 7-footers with a chubby 6'2 Chito Loyzaga. But to his credit, his head-stuck-to-the-chest defense was effective.

During that era, North Korea was not a pushover in basketball (they low key love basketball). The guy 6'2 Chito guarded was listed 7'9" (probably exaggerated for propaganda). Those who watched the game could not forget it because Chito had his belly velcroed towards the crotch of the North Korean the whole time.
Also the time of prime Caidic who had several Curry-like games.

Equally amusing is 6'5 Marc Pingris butting heads literally with 7'0 Omer Asik of T
