  • On Fil Ams, Nalu Clark (brother of Kihei) is class of 2029, Kihei should know the value of citizenship since he played in the BLeague. Hopefully the SBP is also informed.

Flat out Nalu is a winner! His motor and attention to detail is unmatched. Although Nalu is known for his defense, this year he has become more of a scoring threat at all three levels. Watching him develop over the last three years has been amazing but he’s barely scratching the surface. Nalu will be attending @dnaprepacademy next year joining DSTRKT teammates Andrew Diaz, Jayden Robinson and Myles Mobley. #runNit".

Wasn't that the Milcu Talent Identification? I think it was already done, there were several clips and even live stream of the games somewhere.

I don't have an idea if there is another try-out beside it though, I think Coach LA already said that the lineup would have to be complete by march.

            • Goodluck Chigoze Lavente-Okebata was born in Malaysia to a 5'11 Nigerian father and 5'6 Fil-Chi(?) Visayan mother

I think the younger bro was born here..I stand to be corrected

previously played for St. Peter Apostle School a Filipino-Chinese Catholic School somewhere in the Panay Island(?) where his mom originated.

many thanks to their strong African genes in a year they had the growth spurts of 4 and 3 inches respectively.

so most probably the bros. will be on the 6'4 to 6'6 level but with that insane growth it will be more than that according to some expert.

I really do hope they could hook up with a trainer likes of coach Jeff Codera and others

but with the recent news that the Afrcian-Visayan bros. was already in the UE U16 squad

I do hope they could maximize the potentials, I forgot the UE coach and trainer.

                • Sir Al,

I think even though that hafu kid was born in Malaysia

FIBA will still tag those bros. as locals same case scenario with CJ Perez whom I think was born in HK(?)

but grow and studied in her mother's province in Pangasinan and eventually at LPU.

now to make a very strong presentation to FIBA granting a PH Pass is the best thing to do

to avoid so many questions and further scrutinization.

                  • ok here we go..

so this is the first tryout

I'm expecting that on the second one they could invite some hafus as well

considering in few weeks time the 2025 NBTC Manila Live games will commence.

as per news link this is in preparation for the SEABA U-16 this coming May.

“Mahirap pala,” said Tenorio, when asked months into his role.

“It’s because of the talent na meron tayo especially ‘yung young age na 16-under. Nakakagulat. Actually, marami pang hindi nakapunta na hindi pa naimbita. Mahirap at the same time, very excited kasi mga bata ito, alam ko na gusto nilang matuto. Alam ko na mas gusto nila na maging part of the national team," he added.

"Nakita mo naman, in your own eyes, kung paano sila magpagbakbakan dito sa dalawang oras na ginawa namin.”

                    • There are a couple of promising 2009-born players in the U.S. Kai Patton has been making a name for himself and was recently trending. There has been interest in him, and SBP should secure him as soon as possible. He turns 16 in June, so assisting his family with passport processing would be ideal.

Meanwhile, Tyler Reyes and Andwil Yap don’t seem to be part of the pool, despite both being 6’9”. The talent in this batch must be deep if those two are being overlooked. Andwil’s father even mentioned that his son wasn’t invited on their youtube channel. They may still be raw, but this is SEABA. Considering Al Chua himself stated he would prioritize finding the tallest players, it’s surprising that they weren’t included.

Considering Tyler Reyes and Andwil Yap are not ready yet.
But what about Prince Carino ive heard he stands at 6ft7 (please correct e if I am wrong). What is the news regrding the other 6ft 10 kid owen Calinasan? Is he gonna make it to the line up this time?
Are there no 7 footers in the U16 radar for this year?

On the other hand Moral is the type of a player we should seriously be developing. Imagine 6-foot-2/6-foot-3 natural point guard & he's only 16 yrs of age. If he grows up to 6-foot-4 & continues to play as a point guard, then I think he will have a good future.
Is he a better ball handler than Kiefer alas and Andy Gemao?
