Too bad, just checked and he's born October 2008. Him and Pasinos are only eligible for next year's U18.

            • That FEU u-16 team is way taller than the Shibuya U-16. FEU even has an FSA.

              • Gilas Pilipinas Boys head coach LA Tenorio praised the Milcu Sports Got Skills Basketball U16 Talent Identification Program for playing a key role in Batang Gilas’ recruitment process as the search for young talent intensifies. The five-day event, organized by tournament and clinic director Allen Ricardo at the Greenhills West Clubhouse in San Juan, brought […]

More than just a stage for young players to display their skills, the Milcu Sports Got Skills U16 Talent ID was designed to help identify potential future stars for Gilas Youth. As Tenorio begins to shape the team, the program serves as a valuable resource in assembling the right pieces.

I’m excited,” said Tenorio, who was accompanied by assistant coaches Gabe Norwood and Josh Del Rosario.

“I know that there’s more talent outside that league. Actually, medyo I have an idea na kung sino ang i-invite kasi ‘yung tryouts ko by invitation, hindi siya open. So I talked to high school coaches sa mga universities and colleges. So nagpa-plano na ako.”

The 40-year-old mentor shared that he aims to finalize the team lineup by March, all while juggling his responsibilities as Barangay Ginebra’s veteran playmaker in the PBA and his new role as Gilas Youth’s head coach.

“Malaking bagay itong Milcu, to be honest. I’m hoping na mas maraming pang gano’n
kasi sa sobrang dami, hindi kayang i-accommodate lahat. So hopefully for the next years to come, mas marami pang gano’ng klaseng programs,” said Tenorio, also a deputy for Tim Cone in the Gilas Men’s team.

“And maybe, we’ll never know, baka ako na mismo mag-organize with the help of the coaching staff and the SBP and some of the high school coaches. Kami na ‘yung mag-o-organize para mas mapadali na rin,” he added.

“It’s not for me e, it’s really the future of Philippine basketball. So hopefully, mas mapalawak pa.”

Several young standouts turned heads during the tournament, with prospects like Rowie Cabanero, Andwele Cabanero, Jhon Canapi, Sky Jazul, Francis Rosales, Jolo Pascual, Gab Delos Reyes, and Neil Garcia delivering impressive performances for their respective teams.

                • All of the standouts are guards, if not undersized forwards. Looks like we will lean on tall fil-ams again for our bigs. I hope there will be a surprise prospects around 6'8 - 6'10 that was discovered by Erika Dy's team when they went to states to scout.

Considering Tyler Reyes and Andwil Yap are not ready yet.

                  • Based on Andwil's current height which is 6'9, we really got some good size for this batch. I wonder who are these kids beside him, all of them are like under the radar for now. This is from Passion Team who joined the Milcu Talent Identification (basically a tryout for the U16 Gilas) so pretty sure all of these are 2009er.

There are some taller guys in the tourney aside from 6-6 Carino and 6-10 Yap . One interesting name is Marco Aquino, 6-6 ,for NCR More than Just Hoops, could he be the son of Marlo. NCR Cafe Uno Muntinlupa has Roi Balaque, 6-5 and Sam Esomchi 6-2 but is just turning 14 next month. NCR Passion the team of Yap has 6-7 Maranan, 6-5 Toring and 6-3 Khobuntin, and Okebata brothers Goodluck playing for NCR SGA.

Maranan looks like the one beside Yap, while Toring is the one beside Maranan, I don't have an idea who is the one on the corner though, the one beside Toring. Based on shoulders, his height looks like 6'9.

                            Good Day Sir Saju,

                            how old those two kids?

for now they're still raw on some parts

                            but we've seen some potentials

I've notice on the uniform that theirs a collab between MVP and SGA on this?
