While mapua only has 2‐3 guys 6'4 and above. Yikes. Hope ncaa brings back the fsa's soon.

Ondoa needs to take lessons lmao. He shoots like shaq at the line hahaha

Maybe Fil-foreign 6'6"+ centers and fours might help.

Don't think mapua has the budget to get those kinds of players now. Might be even cheaper to find an fsa nowadays.

Blame Letran, Mapua and Baste for that.

Actually from the looks of it. Mapua has the budget since they have been recruiting pretty well lately. They even have a fil am recruit as reported by Naveen. With a 4 semester year i doubt these players will stay if Mapua cannot afford them.

They prolly have a budget pero i doubt they can compete with bigger programs for these taller filfors who for sure will demand the premium. They do have a couple of 6'6 and above recruits pero it looks like they're still raw. As for the acads, dont think it will be problem, i mean hubilla(who's notoriously allergic to books) obviously thought it would be a non issue lol

I have no problem with athletes who cant keep up / lagging behind with their acad requiremnets as long as they attend classes. Their class attendance at least shows that they kniw the value of having a diploma.
Huwag lang team practices ang perfect attendance.

We'll see, i mean mapua is no slouch either, its a top 15, maybe even top 10 school in the country lol. Siguro my issue lang with hubilla, he's in the same boat with the KQ's, suki sa ligang labas games. How do we know he's passing his classes if we always see him outside of the classroom. Especially now NCAA raised back the grade req in order for players to be eligible to play.

The last 4-5 minutes of the game, Topex fielded a line-up of Gaspay-Marasigan-Romero-Rubico-Abadam. Zamora and Buenaventura (I think) were also fielded in with a couple of minutes to go. With the exception of Abadam, those guys are likely at the bottom of the pecking order in terms of making the line-up for Season 87. Dungo is being given a lot of minutes, which makes me think he may be a shoo-in? Based on those last five minutes alone, Zamora and Romero should, if life was fair, not have a shot at making the line-up.

Gaspay is a bit raw, but he is likely competing for a slot with Buensalida, who isn't even in the Fil-Oil lineup. Buenaventura will definitely sit out for Season 87.

DLSU has also not played extensively with Mike Phillips and Joshua David. I know David is nursing a minor injury, but I'm not sure what's up with Mike Phillips.

Mapua has a lot of money / budget. Backed by Abra they have more then enough .They just cant offer what UP/ dlsu and admu can offer of course .

Only ibn makes a big deal about the 3rd stringers. Having 3rd stringers who arent good is better than having 3rd stringers that are too good to be benched. Its more of a headache to play 16 players.

12 players max should be a rotation, Heck 10 would be ideal

Yup, thats what im trying to say, they arent dirt poor lol thats why they got all this new recruits and transferees, its just that these taller filfors will prolly demand premium which mapua may not be able to afford and only a handful of progams can. And mapua is smart enough anyways to efficiently use their funds to cost friendly players who'll fit in well with their program.

As long as those 3rd stringers have a high upside, good or bad they'll be fine. All teams have those kinds of guys anyways and i agree with you, better to have thrashy third stringers than starter quality guys rotting in the bench.

Budget isn't everything. Plus most guys would rather play in the UAAP..
