If Pre was eligible for Batang Gilas U-17 in 2022, then he's around 19 or 20 yrs old now. So he's relatively young. Got a glimpse of his game a while ago & he seems very talented, though not that athletic.

Its unfortunate that he didn't make cut for Batang Gilas U-17 in 2022, instead it was the son of an influential individual (whom we know na malakas lang talaga kaya kinuha) who made the team.

Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

No more ill-advised/imprudent shots & moves? Does he play with more discipline now?

I think a disciplined & prudent version of Padrigao has the potential to become a Gilas prospect perhaps some 4 years from now. Remember that he's a 6-foot point guard.

That's nice to hear. Hope he continues to play like that. Padrigao is a good size point guard with some shooting.

            • Geez these 3rd stringers from DLSU are all raw as hell. Buenaventura not even Team B material.

To be fair, these former players were pro Norman Black. They want Tab Baldwin out.

They're saying Norman would have done a way better job than Tab Baldwin with the same ingredients.

No offense, but I don't see DLSU getting past UP in the next decade. Good luck with that. Ateneo with better recruitment would have positioned themselves as worthy competitors. Better coach, better management. Long term, it's just better all around. Tab Baldwin would have squeezed talent out of those 3rd stringers.

I think the only thing Tab did wrong is sticking with the strict acad requirement. Obviously he can't rely only on Filfors as these guys need to adjust to local play and that is not a given. He is good but even the best coaches need good players or high ceiling ones. His players now are decent. But you can't compete without an FSA. Don't they have a backup?

                      • Allen Ricardo of Letran out coaching Jack Santiago of UE. Letran had better spacing on the floor.

The last play was mind boggling as UE just need a two-pointer and could have gone easily at the post with FSA Momowei. Instead Abate took matter in his own hands and went for glory with a 3-point attempt.

Ue was bullied haha, jack santiago didnt know what he was doing. Letran did a solid job being physical with momowei early on.

                            • UP trying a big lineup of Briones-Walker-Torculas-Alter-Udodo (with Walker replaced by Bayla). No player smaller than 6'4".

Benilde missed 10 freethrows. Imagine if they hit atleast half of that haha. Great game, Sean Chambers is doing a great job with feu, you can see the movement on offense is there, just needs to improve the execution.
