Wow, UP used Lopez, Belmonte, Torculas, and Briones at the wing. Chicco guarded well. Belmonte could use work staying in front of, I saw him get blown by once, but he did stay in front of Veejay Pre decently enough. Torculas could stay in front. Lopez, gets blown by and got lost on a rotation. Hopefully, all of them become competent perimeter defenders.

I’ve only seen two games for pre but I think his ball handling needs work and he’s still young so it’ll probably improve but his ability to handle pressure needs improvement as well, in pinoyliga against dlsu he was forced to 2 or 3 TO from DLSU defense and the whole team also fumbled leading to a loss despite being up in the 4th

Guys, how do you see Jonel Policarpio's potential? I think if given the breaks, Policarpio can also be somewhat a Kevin Quiambao of sorts."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. People are unaware or quick to forget that KQ was the alpha in high school when he had a loaded team with Tamayo and the UP core. Carl playing in college ahead of him and DLSU not making any finals run made him take a backseat. Then last season happened.
Poli has not had the same experiences (alpha on a loaded team, national team reps and pro international experience with SGA). So far, his career is someone you would consider as "playing down" (as opposed to someone always playing up).
All of that said, it doesn't mean he's not a very good player. It's just that we have to recognize that KQ is in a whole nother level.

i think Dlsu is developing him into the next guy after KQ goes as a scorer maybe, he’s getting more shots in the filoil, averaging 15.5 ppg on 13.5 shots in 20 minutes

Anyone knows whats up with the benilde-arellano game? Game was suppose to start at 11. Had a live stream pero showed only ads of smart then it suddenly ended. I know the mapua-jru game ended in ot before hand pero filoil isnt posting anytbing about it.

Also his handle looks nice though for a homegrown his size"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. What I like about college basketball right now is that nagiging common na yung mga 6-foot-5 & above small forwards & combo forwards which wasn't the case some 5 to 6 years ago. Hope Philippine collegiate basketball will produce more Kevin Quaimbaos, Calvin Oftanas, Will Navarros, Ken Tuffins, Carl Tamayos, Justin Baltazars."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game.
