From the time I last saw FEU, though, they lack big fours to play Anonuevo and Pre at the wings. The Tamayo, Andrada-type fours.

    • What's the height of Veejay Pre?

Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

Is that with shoes or without? If he is actually 6’4-5 then he’s actually impressive

Without shoes. Identical with fellow Tams-commit Kirby Mongcopa.

Ah OK. Hope he can be developed into a natural small forward like a Calvin Oftana

Is he the one who got injured in a motorcycle accident? He's said to be more impressive than Pre.

How long before Mongcopa comes in. Him, Pre, and hopefully Konov should make Anonuevo and Jones play more as wings

Not sure if this still holds true now

Yup, he's that guy in a motorcycle accident in the province. As far as I know, he's finishing his rehab this year and will be eligibile for college in Season 88.

                      • Interesting, i hope Team A for all schools will be playing in this tourna. But it should’ve been earlier since UAAP and NCAA will start on late Sept/early Oct

                        • I like what pinoyliga is trying to do here, looks like we'll see teams from all over the country, not just in the uaap or ncaa. Right now im not even wishing for bigger programs to take it seriously but hopefully as the years go by, it will grow some prestige, hopefully even grander than the pccl years ago.

Pinoyliga will rank 40 college programs; inviting 32 of them to join ala march madness style tourney

Coach Jong said it best, the only reason why teams like Enderun, Diliman Colleges, OLFU, and Guang Ming aren't in the UAAP or NCAA is that their schools are so small, they can only afford to have a men's basketball team when there are 30 other sports (both men's and women's) plus the juniors division (grade 8-12) which those schools probably don't have.

For now, it's a throwback to the old PCCL without the CESAFI teams. It's crazy because we get to see FSA guards and wings like Howe and Oumba (this black dude has a better jumper than anyone in the country) for Enderun that could probably beat full-strength UAAP teams if they're allowed to play simultaneously.

Olfu is pretty big in terms of student body, and if im not mistaken, they even had a vball, chess, track and field and badminton teams before. Other than them i believe ceu also has the capabality of joining the bigger leagues. Both i believe also has senior high so they could also possibly have teams in the jr ranks. Enderun naman is a pretty 'rich' school, like the tuition is on par with the exclusive schools we have in the country so maybe in the future when they have more alumni they could have boosters to help their athletic program

There were rumors years ago that CEU might join NCAA (and even SBU joining the UAAP). Wonder what happened or why it didnt materialize.
