He had a tryout of some sort with ceu. He is still with csb as of the moment. Same with Mara. Though Charles Tiu is planning on having mara spend time in Team B to preserve his eligibility left. He also needs to catch up on acads. He'll prolly be lineup again next year with turco and sangco both graduating. Can't deny he is looking for other opportunities though.

They should prolly just platoon the pg minutes and have kq and the rest of their gunners share the facilitating duties. As it is nobody in the team is a solid facilitator ala evan nelle and having the best 5 guys in the floor is as important.

          • DLSU is still currently out-talenting teams in the preseason, despite the lack of a number 1 PG in their lineup. Last season, Ateneo didn’t have a good PG, and with a so-so roster, resulted in poor play (specially during the first round). We’ll see if DLSU’s lack of a clear PG will rear its ugly head during the actual UAAP season.

            • Rubico was OK in the D-League against weaker teams. But yeah very far from a Nelle.

DLSU needs to find a way to make plays without a real PG.

I wonder if KQ can take over from Nelle as the floor general and leader of the team.

I dont think KQ can breakdown defenses on the dribble.

From the looks of it. FEU seems building a darkhorse team for the upcoming season. Exciting times ahead

                      • Funny thing is, FEU rookies is playing better than their seniors haha. I hope Bagunu and Ona will not be included in their line up.

UST showing that small ball can keep up with DLSU as long as you can mitigate the DLSU bigs. Tounkara and Manaytay are not enough. If Mahmood can change things when he arrives, may tulog ang DLSU.

aside from its PG problem (which might be resolved more easily in the coming months), DLSU’s other problem is that its perimeter defense drops when it uses its big lineups.

Low key Pre has Gilas potential. He already has tighter handles and better footwork than either KQ or Lopez.

                              • Joshua David can be a lead PG the question is if his body can hold up. Then 10-15 mins of a second stringer shouldn’t be too hard of an ask but DLSU is trying to shoe horn guys in different positions to mixed results but that’s what the preseason is for anyway.
