So guys, you think Quiambao can really play as a small forward in the national team? Do you think he has the laterals to keep in step with the opposing team's small forward in the FIBA game? We all know that offense wise he has the skills of a small forward, but what about in the defensive end?

I couldn't agree with you more bro. As they say, "Calm seas don't make good sailors".

The level of competition in the MPBL is definitely way below that of the PBA, B-league or KBL.

It doesn't help that his game is built on "bully-ball." Now that everyone is bigger, faster, stronger, he can't play his style. He's having a hard time seeing over the defense and the angles for his passes are limited. There's a reason that the nba rarely has players his size.

For short players like him, I think the only way to make it is to be a lights-out shooter. If you're just there to bring the ball down, might as well have a bigger player do it.

            Sir Tukayo,

I like that, just to make the game more engaging especially when the game started to get lopsided much more if it's close tight game....that hala!! hala!! hala!! halaaahhh!! remarks starting to inculcate in the back of my head now...hehehehe..

anyway, as for the football vibe...another remark like saba!! saba!! saba!! sabaaaaahhh!! for every football games suddenly pop up in my mind..i dunno the exact arab expression for that but it's funny to drumbeat a perfect play for a possible goal.

it seems that Arab commentator has this machine gun mouth to be proud of to make the viewing public not to get bored and hindi antukin...for me that's talent.

Kulang pa but he’s getting there. Shedding weight was a good start. I think his exponential improvements on most facets of his game snowballed from him getting rid of excess baggage.

The way I see it, KQ can play small ball four, wing, and two if it's absolutely necessary. Is he better than a Dwight Ramos? By far, Dwight has the edge on physicality... but he doesn't possess KQ's passing and the ability to switch on quick guard like he has shown in the 2 games. If a Gilas team has a shot creator like a JC or JB, I honestly would rather have KQ over Dwight or take out that shot creator entirely and hope the ball keeps moving. That assumes Kouame or another naturalized big is on.

Is he really that good defensively?

I don't think KQ can supplant Dwight Ramos Howard as our main SF. But he should be in the pool. Home growns developing their skill to be international class should always be encouraged.

I know it's only 2 games, but getting deflections on Black players beats trying to stay infront of UAAP-level guards.

KQ starts with a 3 in Lofton’s face and a slam off a loose ball.

Cagulangan in for Heading, and immediately Lofton goes to work on him.

At least Holman knows how to use his bulk to make plays below the rim. Blatche thinks it’s still 2014.
