I think anything is possible with the running priest.

What is the "running priest" exactly? I have read some comments about this too but never knew the reason behind it. lol

A narrative by some Bedan alumni about Father Vic of Letran ran inside the playing court when there was still some playing time during the 2019 ncaa finals.

For college basketball, I think this is the same all around. Us in Ateneo (and San Beda) with Suharto money by way of MVP, Lasal with Ricky Razon, UP gets theirs from the generous citizens of Cavite, and any SMC backed team from the wonderful fruits of the Coco Levy fund.

It's college basketball with zero ROI. No sane businessman who earned every cent the right way would dump money just because. We're not kids here. We should know this by now.

why was my post deleted when i used the same word not to swear at or degrade any poster but to simply show my surprise about two unknown players who jumped ship to another team?

i never addressed the f word to any poster, seems like we have a cupcake moment here.

I wrote "who the f*ck are these guys?" not addressed to a poster or other members but as a reaction to 2 uknown players moving to letran.

so why did my post get deleted and bluenote's didn't?

looks like there's double standards here

How is it the same? Funds derived from legit business is THE SAME as funds derived from illegal gambling?

Corporate advertising and goodwill. Although not commensurate, it's a way for rich alumni to give back to their beloved community. Of course you can't say that to a non-alumnus, except when this benefactor who is a non-alumnus wants to get recognition as a basketball patron by throwing money that was derived by dubious means and not hard-earned.

                      • No specific date. PBA D-League announced its opening on March. The first major preseason tournament for this year. EcoOil DLSU are defending champions.

Will San Beda continue its partnership with Marinerong Pilipino? I would like to see St. Benilde and UP play in this tournament.

                        • Don't know if anyone's shared this here but coach jong uichico making good points on why ncaa needs to bring back FSA's. Hoping we get to see them again soon so that the league can produce and develop more gilas quality/overseas talent and compete with UAAP for the quality of games. Not to mention in Season 101, we'll see a top heavy tournament so maybe bringing em back can help those gutted teams.

                          • When refs starts making dubious calls/non calls or when players starts throwing games maybe people will realize why even the PBA aren't that keen on the idea of Delta getting a team.

Funny how their alumni are so fond of calling their own players and coaches as "benta" and tagging other student athletes as mercenaries yet they're so mum about this.
