I mean many benildeans would identify themselves more as lasallians, so they would be more familiar with the happenings of the la sallian teams rather than the benildean teams and mind you this was during the time benilde wongeneral championships in the ncaa lol. Anyways things have slightly changed for the better and a big part of that is the recent succes of the basketball team and the current dynasty of the women's volleyball team. Still ill be surprised to see benilde fill up arenas today, even in championship games. Again for a school that only became autonomous in the 90's there's still not enough alumni for the the teams to have a solid fanbase. Maybe in the next 20 years, we'll see better attendance from them, especially since benilde is still growing, already having a another campus in antipolo and soon in davao.
Benilde students/alumni are re-selling their patron/LB tickets to Mapuans for game 2.

In Mapua, you have to monitor the FB page of the school and have your reservation through Google Docs then claim it the next day, maximum if 2 tickets. once the Link is posted in the page, in less than 10 minutes, all tickets are sold out. Some are even monitoring Ticketnet site and will purchase anything available, in any side of Araneta.

While in CSB, there are 3 ticket stations that you can basically walk in and purchase. Some Mapua alumni/students asked their CSB friends to buy for them, event the seats are at Benilde side.

Comparing it from last season, Both Mapua and San Beda are exerting all efforts to secure tickets.

Ive actually seen lots of benildeans reselling in socmed albeit with higher prices. Another reason why i didnt push thru watching live. Tho as for the ticketnet site, the available seats were infront of the baskets, which personally for me is undesirable, tho there's still a 'good' section that was available in the mapua side. For game 2, only available seats in ticketnet are GA.

As ive said i dont expect benildeans to fill arenas anytime soon, maybe in 20 years when theres more alumni. And i get it, this is the best chance mapua has in ending the drought, i mean last time ya'll won, we were still under dlsu, not even an autonomous college yet. History in the making indeed.

The lasalle-adamson final four match is one-sided. Everyone knows, even those from Adamson that the Falcons have no chance

Makes sense. Game 2 is always a hotter ticket for the team with a chance to clinch.

              • Is Liwag lock in the Mvp?
                Rookie of the year? Hubilla?

In my book Liwag wins it. He’s the league leader in rebounds and blocks.

Liwag is 3rd in total and average blocks, but stats wise since he averaged a double double, even in pts, he's not far from the other mvp candidate escamis (15 pt differential), he might be the front runner.

If liwag does win, this should just fuel escamis even further to win it all in game 2.

Roy might be gojo. Stats comparison:

                      MGC 230pts 97rebs 50ast 23stls 14blks 37to
                      Hubilla 232pts 114rebs 32ast 10stls 4blks 47to

Hubilla leads in pts but not that much, and in rebs, rest of the stats go in mgc's favor

                      • My bet is ROY to Hubilla and Freshman of the Year to MGC

                        • Wide gap between Liwag (52 PAV) and the next man Escamis (43 PAV). The explanation is that Escamis is a volume shooter. The NCAA includes the FG attempts and FG makes in the computation as I recall.

Surprised them giving both to hubilla, but yeah expected atleast both to win ine. I guess the winning record mapua had made a big impact.

Other surprises, no paeng are anywhere, was expecting him to be part of the mythical 5 or atleast mip. Felebrico and ynot in the mythical 5 were also shocks, one bedan, so maybe andrada should have been included.

                            • Despite the strong start by CSB, they committed 9 turnovers in the first quarter that allowed Mapua to crawl back. Mapua takes a 24-23 lead after one.

Since that Mangubat 3, Mapua took control. Benilde couldn't execute properly and couldn't stop the Mapua isolation midrange jumpers.

Benilde cut a 10-point lead to 5, but still.
