Sure but mostly because the system they have there in ue limits what they could have accomplished. Those wins they have in the 1st round, most of em were lucky wins. Unfortunately for them, just like letran, their luck ran out in the 2nd round, and you can say that other teams have caught on to what they were doing. Any other coach that can adjust on the fly, this ue team is a legit final 4 team.
Tbh id easily rather have Tounkara or Konateh. Precious, for me, is a good stats, bad team kind of guy. He doesn't play winning basketball. He stat chases and forces up a lot of shots that are not in his arsenal. Case in point, he's a big he shot less than 40% FGs and below 50% FTs. Honestly, seems to me UE's offense looked much better without Momowei.

Personally if i need an fsa that could accomplish their given role to the fullest, id choose those 2 as well, maybe even adamson's ojarike but ue needed a go to guy thay can anchor the offense and thats momowei. Id put the low shooting percentages on the reason that opposing defenses zeroing on him on the post. Similar to liwag early this season, no matter how big or good you are at the post, when defenses double or triple team you, you'll always be worse off. As for the shot selection, he seems to have the green light to take those shots naman. I guess its on his playmakers to find him on great shot attempts and make his life easier in the post and on the coaching staff to actually call plays for him. On the few games ive watched of UE, they've done a god awful job on maximizing what he brings on the table and thats on the coaches. As ive said give him someone like ancheta or forthsky as his point guard, and charles tiu or norman black as his coach, he should have no problem winning mvp and leading ue to the final 4.

      • not in the uaap thread but Momowei looked like a terrible teammate as well. Bad body language and was constantly whining it’s all potential for him now.

Hes not a post up guy he’s not a face up guy since he can’t pass and always travels. Hes a high motor garbage baskets type of guy and a good pick and roll finisher. Hes not someone offensive fulcrum

        • Tbh I'd take Liwag over Momowei. The reason why Momowei's percentages are bad is not because of defenses. IMO he's trying to do things which he isn't in his wheelhouse. He likes to drive from the outside when he doesn't have good handles nor a good finishing touch. And yes, I heard he does have attitude problems but is given a long leash because UE supposedly needs him.

San Beda and La Salle was supposed to have a game for the PinoyLiga Next Man Cup today. But it was cancelled and to be rescheduled.

                    • The last time Mapua won the championship was 33 years ago. I was fortunate to watch the Cardinals at the ULTRA bag the crown that year. They are my sentimental favorites.

But most likely analytics and oddsmakers make the number two seed St. Benilde the heavy favorites.

                        • Sentimental favorites are the CArdinals but the safest pick to win it all in Season 100 is the CSB Blazers. They got it all covered. From the coaching staff, to the backcourt, wingmen, frontline and big time players, the Blazers have it all. And they also have the frontrunner for the MVP and best big man in the NCAA.

                            • Ynot has been off today, non factor on offense and getting burned by escamis on defense. They'll need him if benilde wants to win. Benilde with 7 or 8 to's already in the 1st, seems like finals jitters affecting them.
