In my opinion, escamis is slightly better, the standings and awards will backed it up.
Hmm pretty hard to compare two different players who play different positions and fill different holes for their teams.

Escamis your protoypical Pointsguard that can facilitate the offense when needed. He's a point guard whose main responsibility is to add points wether he does it himself or thru others. He's also the primary focal point in the offense that always needs the ball to be efficient.

While estrada naman is your traditional shooting guard whose main responsibility is to be the number 1 guy that attacks on offense. He can play off the ball or create on his own. But what makes him unique is that he has the maturity that you would like players his age have when it comes to not forcing shots. He has good basketball smarts and a willing rebounder which is pretty rare for guys in his position.

For me, both would make solid pros, but will require different sets of role players to build around them if they are to succeed at the next level. Finding the right coaching style is also vital.

Jimboy has been the most clutch player in the ncaa this season. For some reason, his teammate Deo Cuajao also had his share of clutch games. It just didnt translate to wins. But if you want to tie or a tie breaker, Jimboy is your man. He can drive, he can stop and pop, again his stop and pop is the best in the game or he will create scoring opportunities for his teammates. truly an elite player.

For real, i would rather have Cyrus Cuenco take the 3 than Clint. Cuenco is just a cold blooded shooter for Mapua, more lethal than Escamis.

I agree on the basis that cuenco is the number 1 three point shooter this year and would not be a bad choice, but on clutch situations, and team needs a 3, im still going with escamis for the reason he's been clutch a lot longer than cuenco has. Its already on Escamis dna and has been doing it since last year. I think the problem with him this year is that he's getting the superstar treatment on defense now and opposing teams have actually gameplanning against him and doing their best to take him out of the game.

This 2nd round, Jimboy is averaging 5.4 turnovers per ball game, and it affected their road to final 4, series of losses. Now, in order for Letran to at least be in a play-off or quotient calculation for no. 4 spot is for both EAC and LPU not to win their last 2 games respectively.

              Race to Final 4:
              MU: SSC-R, AU 13-3
              CSB: LPU, SBC 13-3
              SBC: SSC-R, CSB 10-6
              LPU: EAC, CSB 8-8
              EAC: LPU, JRU 8-8
              CSJL: AU 8-9

              • Cuenco might also be a pro, skillset and shooting. However, Escamis is still their main guy and defense is really focused on him unlike cuenco. Cuenco vs Estrada is nice but Estrada is ahead as of the moment. These guys are better guards than most of the uaap players, or maybe match with uaap players.

                • Jimboy Estrada is the better playmaker than Clint Escamis. If you want to play safe and get a bucket I’d give the ball to him. Estrada and Nic Cabanero are the best 2-guards right now. But Jimboy is the king of the mid-range game. Nobody has mentioned it but Jimboy uses the glass more often than anybody else. Old school like ex PBA and Mapua great Freddie Hubalde.

Escamis is basically a go-for-glory shot maker in the mold of a Kevin Alas and Robert Bolick. If a team just needs a deuce, Escamis would go for glory and take a triple to win it like Alas and Bolick.

                    • Escamis should be better but he plays so dumb sometimes bad shots hero ball etc

                      • clint plays like bolick lite. clint shares the same hero ball tendencies with bolick but bolick is a much more natural and effective scorer.

between jimboy and escamis (or even cabanero), im taking jimboy. he's so smooth and so efficient. given the lack of playmakers letran has, i think jimboy would probably be even better if he had a better supporting cast.

                            • Jimboy got lucky yesterday, Sajonia was still not 100% when he played yesterday. It was Sajonia who was guarding him back in the first round.

well, it was well documented that a former rector from LEtran initiated it after the Red Lions swept Season 86 led by MVP winner the late Sudan DAniel. Father TAmerlane Lana released a circular to the NCAA Mancom urging the banning of FSA's in the NCAA. according to him, they were mercenaries for hire. They impeded the development of big men in the league. They took away scholarship grant to deserving players. Such a pathetic, insecure take from Padre DAmaso. Because the real reason behind it, Letranites were so threatened of San Beda catching up with them. Which they did in Season 88. From being the winningest team in the NCAA for decades, San BEda took that title away from them in 2012 and has been the NCAA's winningest team eversince with 23 championship to Letran's 20.
