What ruined the image of NCAA is the shenanigans on the court..

Aside from the dirty plays. The schools in the ncaa are looked at as less prestigious so that has nothing to do with the on the court productz

    • San Beda has been a long time powerhouse school not just in the NCAA but also in non-NCAA tournaments like the Fr. Martin Cup, FilOil, PBA D-League and PCCL. Evidence are the multiple titles they won in the said tournaments where only a handful of UAAP/NCAA schools were able to achieve.

          • Napa never accomplished anything during his time with Letran, so his comment is irrelevant. They beat UP? Congrats, but how about winning the whole tournament first, then we can talk. That guy is the definition of salty.

Nah, only the casuals and uaap purists dont care about those leagues. Players, coaches, alumni, students and basketball diehards actually enjoy watching those games. If nobody cares about those leagues then why are leagues like pinoyliga continue to grow and attract fans and why do your uaap teams keep on joining them. Lets not discount things just to fit your narrative that the uaap is this high and mighty. Fact of the matter is, ncaa teams can and will always compete against uaap teams and its already proven that these ncaa team can win against the best of em.

                  • Pana panahon lang yan. Remember when the Stags won every tournament they joined, or SBU? The main reasons we can't match up well with UAAP schools right now are FSAs and Covid effed up our recruiting.

But current NU would have a hard time making it to the F4 too.

                      For benilde:

                      Jalalon-Baliquig-Lim
                      Jucom-Victoria-Atienza
                      Moore-Daja-Vanguardia
                      Celis-Gonzaga
                      Umali-Gaspay

                      Inactive: Cruz and Nacua

On paper, behold is way deeper, but man per man i think this will be good matchup. Defensively i expect victoria and jalalon taking turns on reyes while janti will matchup with celis and daja. While gonzaga and gaspay should matchup well with the bedan bigs as well. But i think it would come down to depth which benilde's team b doesnt have. So i think game will be close un the 1st half, especially if jucom, moore and Celis are able to keep up offensively, but behold will get some separation in the latter quarters due to the bench depth enroute to being champions.

Yeah if im a betting man, ill go with behold in this matchup. The additions of jimmy and janti is just that big. Csb team b also lacks bigs while san beda can still interchange torres and hawkins, ncaa quality bigs imo, with the starting 5. Only way csb wins this if they are able to shut down both j and j.

SBU lost to Diliman College in the elims 89-93. This was Miller’s debut game as a Red Lions. Diliman’s FSA scored 36 points against us. CSB-B beat Diliman by 3 points in the semis.

In terms of chemistry, your guys are way ahead of Team Behold. Your guys have been playing together for a few months now.

No offense to alumnis of ncaa schools here..
They are at the bottom, because their FSA is injured. If not, they surely a F4 team.

Comparing 2 leagues, with the other one with FSAs

This! 2 good wins and Napa thinks he will be "nasa itaas ng ncaa"...where was his mouth during his teams 5 to 6 game losing skid. If they'll gonna play in NC now all pinoy they will be at the middle of the pack at best, together with letran, lpu, eac battling it out for 4th spot
