Play turco and liwag together while having both eusebio and sanchez on the wings while ynot at the point and we'll see who's gonna get eaten at the boards lol. Everyone in this 5 for csb can haul their own boards, now for up besides qmb, who's gonna grab em haha nobody else is hardworking enough.

Benilde was able to beat miguel oczon's kbl team who was clearly big in almost every position. That same kbl team handed multiple double digit defeats to NU this preseason.

No offense to alumnis of ncaa schools here..
although i do think it's unfair to compare the ncaa and uaap when half/more than half of the uaap schools are backed by multi-billionaire sponsors. more money brings you better access to the shiniest prospects and facilities, allows them to travel as much as they want to so on and so forth. however, this doesn't necessarily mean they are running the more superior programs. i think a lot of ncaa teams are probably utilizing their budget more efficiently than some of these moneyed UAAP schools.

Exactly this. Those that understimate the league clearly havent watched any games lately and just stuck on their own with uaap. Come to think of it im more impressed with the scouts of ncaa teams since they really have to work double in sourcing talent. Whereas in the other league, you just need a fat wallet to get players. Comes off lazy if were being honest. And ast i check besided the filfors, where does the uaap get players? Ncaa jrs right, how about studs like jacob cortez, where did he make a name for himself again? Lol.

i agree with you, pretty hard to compare both leagues with one another when in one league, most of the teams are being funded by big sponsors. In the ncaa you only have 2-3 teams that have significant funding.

What ruined the image of NCAA is the shenanigans on the court..
But I miss the old days when they were with studio 23 or s&a. Nowadays, what really gives life to the league and its team, ironically is the quality of games. Wether no lead is safe or both team really going at it. Anybody can beat anybody unlike in the other league you already know which teams will play in the finals.

also, isn't the pba dying because of terrible parity in their league? isn't the same thing happening in the uaap right now? the season hasn't started and people already know who the finalists will be. that imo should be more damaging to a league's image.

Also, the boardroom backstabbing of some NCAA member schools has to be addressed as well. I know all member schools are rivals but camaraderie is one of NCAA’s goal why they created the league right? That’s the reason why NCAA has not evolved the way UAAP had. I mean UAAP have issues as well but they are doing a pretty good job of handling those controversies compared to how NCAA handles their own. It’s something that I admire about UAAP. They have differences, but they try to resolve it in a fair manner. Well, really fair compared to how NCAA handles their own. Good example is how they handled Topex’s spitting incident compared to how NCAA handled that MU mauling incident.
If they could address those issues, NCAA could become a great league again.

if ncaa viewership is down, it's not because of the supposed bad boy image of the ncaa. doesn't that shit sell amongst the target demographic of philippine basketball? it's probably something else. maybe it's the way they are marketed. but the product, especially the last 2 years, have been great. down to the wire games. high scoring games. underdogs beating favorites.
meanwhile in the uaap, they just unleashed a 45-37 masterpiece of a game between two teams that are both final 4 contenders.
