No he isnt. Only in the uaap. What they (ncaa member school) did do is have a gentleman's agreement that no ncaa school should hire him after his exit with letran in 2015. Same agreement that cost san beda his hiring before bringing in yuri escueta. However since it is letran themselves that spearheaded this so called agreement, dont be surprised if they decide to break it to hire him themselves. If we look at it there nobody else available that can really thread the needle for this letran program. Alas is with ateneo, gonzales and capacio are both with jru and havent done anything to really elevate that program. Napa is doing good in nu and anyone related to smc is practically off limits. While ex players like miller, raymundonor calaguio are either not ready or not big enough names to really give the team hope. If im letran and i want immediate succes for this floundering program, ill look at an established name already, thats also an alummus. Ayo fits that bill perfectly. Also helps that his employers the lao's are good friends with delta pineda so if theres any team that can pull strings to bring him in, its letran.

If I'm Letran I'd be careful hiring Ayo. Sure he can coach but he's a bit of a loose cannon, instigating dirty plays and fights. And when (not if ) he leaves , he always leave the program in shambles. Dude has a history.

Im sure they're pretty familiar with him. And its letran, i dont think they'll care wether he instigate things or not. This is the same team that allowed their players to play dirty in that 3 peat era. Letran needs a guy like him to lead the program now, while ayo needs a gig like this to recover from back to back disastrous outings. This should be a win-win for both parties.

I even saw Chot Reyes there. I don’t know if he’s involved with either team or he’s overseeing another team who’s participating there today. Coz I heard Baste has hired a seasoned coach who will oversee Baste’s team B. They badly need it to guide coach Arvin next season.
If he's there that means TNT is practicing in the other court.

That tournament should be BBI. Seems like Baste B has a lot of hafus and Benilde is giving Umali, Celis and Moore lots of offseason reps.

          • Benilde has been really sloppy today. Good to see ynot back in the lineup

Didn't Ynot suffered a 2nd or 3rd degree sprain? So he is suppose to be out at least the whole 2nd round?

I think the diagnosis got downgraded upon numerous consultations. Doctors gave him the clearance and now its really up to ynot's pain tolerance, he doesnt seem to be at a 100% yet but good to see him get some run.

                • That has got to be one of csb's ugliest win. Too many wasted shots and freethrows. Half assed effort defensively. And whats happening to morales, seems to have regressed as the season went on. He's been a negative whenever he's on the floor

Heard ynot had undergone some stem cell theraphy on that ankle of his turning what was supposed to be a month of injury time to only a couple of weeks. That game postponement really helped.

They look really rusty. Even eac missed a lot of shots. Both went for only 30% in the field. Hope they regain their bearings for their next game.

Maybe Ynot should still rest and just come back maybe a couple of games before the final 4

He left benilde last year moved to letran as one of rensy bajar's recruits, unfortunately didnt make the season 100 lineup. Also on the older side, he's 2001 born making him already 23. He's decent but his game doesnt really fit his body. He's a combo forward thats kinda short and soft to play the post and slow naman to be an off the bounce threat and defend the perimeter. He has that outside shot tho. Benilde used to play him at the 4 when he was in team B.

I see. So he only has 2 years left to play. Baste could use his height. I hope he adapts to Baste’s system in time for season 101.

How has ashon andrews been so far? I think one of the things that held him back ever since his up days was him being 'soft' mentally. Thats prolly the reason why he didnt make ust lineup this year as pido wants his players to be mentally tough. I think maxie had the same issue leading to him leaving ue who also has a tough coach in jack santiago.
