Yes it was Barba. What Barba did (shaking Bravo’s head to wake him up) was wrong. He has done more harm to Bravo.

      Players crowding the scene.
      No oxygen/breathing apparatus
Yeah what the hell was this, if i was the parents of kids id seriously pulling them out of availability due to negligence of the league's safety. Absolutely inexcusable response. And that Barba needs some first aid orientation.

This is the biggest scandal NCAA might have.

Seemed like no dr present in the venue from teams or the league.Looked like they were just emergency medical technicians/emt.

And yup very slow response time.

        • Just when we thought ncaa learned its lesson with the amores fiasco, then something like this happens naman. For a league thats been around 100 years, they shouldve provided better security and first responders. There was not even any neck brace availablw for him to use.

          • Lets be real tho, anyone of us, if we see our loved ones get knocked out, will do the same thing barba did in trying to wake him up. Was it wrong? Yes but dude did that out of instict, he had no time to process what was happening and did what he thought at the time was needed to be done. So lets give the kid a break. He prolly thought he lost his brother that time.

What needs to happen is first aid training to everyone in the league, from the coaches to the players, to the officials and of course better first responders in case something like this happens again. I mean imagine someone really did collapsed or had a cardiac arrest.
Kinda tragic for this to happen, especially someone from lpu, who happens to be the host this year and to someone recovering from a spine injury. I mean were not gonna even talk about the loss, but i feel for coach gilbert as well. You can see him besides himself crying head down. Wont be surprised if he blames himself for what happened.

Yeah the bashing barba is recievig kn social media is unwarranted. Nobody wanted that to happen to anyone. Just be thankful that bravo is alright.

One can educate without the need of passing the blame. Thats why ncaa should really have mandatory first aid training for everyone involved in the tourney. Im sure the league can afford it naman.

                • The moment I saw Bravo motionless on the floor, the first thing that popped in my head was it might have been related to his spinal injury. I quickly recalled that terrifying accident of Eugene Tejada of Purefoods in the PBA. Tejada was paralyzed for a number years after that incident. But when I saw the replay of Bravo bumping heads with another player I was relieved.

Barba made more people panic with his hysterical act. Lol

                  • Looks like Bravo was concussed, hope thats his first one and nothing else happens. I don't think he was acting and he was legit knocked out.

Hope LPU doesnt force things so we dont see another Tua like scenario.

He really got knocked out pretty hard to fake with his eyes like the undertaker and then when he got stretchered out, his arms dropped.

Anyways from a new tiebreaker time article:

According to Lyceum Pirates team manager Alan Layco, initial medical tests have shown promising results.

“The initial CT scan showed no damage, and the neuro tests have also turned out negative,” Layco confirmed.

Tho he is scheduled to have another ct scan tom before he gets cleared out

Even with mgc and acido gone, jr altas still has a lot of returning key guys besides daep; pagulayan, roluna, callangan and borja. Ex ust tiger cub kurt velazquez will also provide quality minutes. While benchwarmers rosales, cristino and baldoria have developed into dependable role players. Might be wrong but this team still looks like a finals contender. Same with mapua and san beda. Letran tho i think will struggle a bit with a lot of key guys moving on and new coaching staff

EMTs/medics should have entered the court asap to check bravo, rather not blame the kid (barba), he panicked, and has no idea about the extent of the injury

Yeah it was obvious that Barba wasnt trained on what to do during that situation.
