To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..

Wasnt he already lined up last season? Albeit as one of the 3 reserve players. Don't see anything special in him like his kuya tho.

        • Is Lina injured? Surprisingly Teruel is still lined up for Pinoy Liga Cup but no more Jalbuena.

          • SGA-CSB nabs its first win in PSL against AOK. Zenric Jarque with a solid game, top scoring with 16 pts, ian torres solid as the starting combo guard with 13 pts and 9 ast, ondoa also shooting well enroute to 13 pts.

Ian Torres looking good so far(reminds me a lot of oczon, can shoot in bunches, but a lot better as playmaker at this stage of his career minus the guts of miggy), will prolly have a key role off the bench and stagger minutes with ynot. Ondoa is low key a solid acquisition makes their 3/4 positions loaded with lots of switchable guys like sangco, marcos, jarque, eusebio and sanchez. Turco should continue start to relieve defensive responsibilities from liwag. Lastly looks like Arciaga, Morales, Serrano and Mara(who also didnt play) are competing for 2-3 spots in the frontline rotation. Still difficult to gauge with most of the key guys not playing(liwag, sanchez, ynot, eusebio, sangco)

                • RC and Richi Calimag were no shows. So are Bismarck and Ronrei (recovering from ALC tear surgery). These are the Team B scoring machines who were not available against La Salle. Only Sajonia was available.

Team Behold did not have any practice as well for 3 months or more.

The other team's 2 giant imports provided the inside presence. Asa sa imports.

I just watched a glimpse. It also seemed that one team was on protein-shakes/supplements while the other was not.

I'm not too excited about our young players relying on bulk and strength. Younger stages is supposed to be the time where you develop and use skill and diskarte. Getting too strong too early limits you in the long run.

                    • Penny Estacio reminds me of ex Red Cub/Red Lion Radge Tongco. Pint-sized guard who balled great in HS. Tongco was an ex Batang Gilas. But their pint-sized frames is a disadvantage in college because they lacked the physicality.

Estacio will not be a Bolick in terms of point production. But he’s good enough to be a good vocal leader on the floor.

A la Coach Yuri Escueta during his playing days, perhaps?

he should be the Jorrick Bautista place right now. FEU projected him the future king tamaraw. him and Bautista combination what ifs for FEU. But he chose a better green (DLSU). the question for San Beda how will they divide minutes for estacio, sajonia and the rest of the guards..
                          LA Clippers(bcoz of PG13)

I certainly hope he does better than Tongco. Radge was inconsistent and a bit immature on the court.. I hope Estacio bulks up or at least gain more strength as the NCAA is much much more physical than the UAAP. Jacob might not have the best measurables and athleticism but he's built like a truck. He got roughed up a lot but he was able to handle it

1 good thing in the NCAA they can play small ball because their opponents is not that big (except CSB) so they can field 3 guards at most.
