I dunno about this mapua team, im a fan. But damn their players need to cut out those extracurriculars. You dont give away an unspo like that when you're trying to come back from a game. Even those tongue out stuff come on. Even ynot and liwag wont do that of crap in a close game. Get a big lead or win the game first or else yall end up looking like a fool.

Kudos to Penny Estacio for stepping up defensively. His rise started with Letran’s Nath Montecillo and followed it up against Perpetual’s Orgo. Today he did a solid job on both sides.

The trash talk between Sajonia and Hubilla was fun to watch. Sajonia got the last laugh scoring against Hubilla and on the ensuing Mapua’s last play stopped the latter from scoring in the post.

There was also an arm slapping incident between Puno and Hubilla on two occasions.

I think Cuenco got irritated in the first half when Payosing rammed him intentionally in a rebounding position.

With the first round officially done. I gotta say perps has to be the most impressive team thus far. At 4-5, i expected them to have way less wins for a team that loss their entire starting lineup. Most disappointing naman has to be eac. They've played way below the expectation and should be in a tight spot if they want to get a final 4 ticket.

For now i still have benilde, Mapua, San Beda and Letran in the final 4, but i also expect perpetual and eac to make their push for the f4. Even teams like arellano and lpu may get some good wins as well in the next round.

As for the standout performers. Liwag and Escamis should the mvp frontrunners. For dpoy its liwag and santos. Rookie of the year: Jimboy estrada, maybe sajonia. For Freshman of the year it should be MGC and Hubilla. MIP naman, its Are or Guiab
