Yup, 1 rebound away from triple double. Sayang kasi he is making his pull up jumpers. I consider this as a lucky win for SBU.

Kinda similar with their game againt letran the one that went to triple OT. Perps had a lot of chances to finish that game and win. Just couldnt covert. That should change next year when casinillo amd company arrives.

If SAn Beda loses the game, Emman TAgle should be suspended for the whole second round of this season. Such a low iq, weak pass to his teammate. And the play prior to that, Estacio getting rattled after a double team resulting to a turnover. And a play prior to Penny's turnover, SAjonia driving his way to 3 defenders resulting to an out of bounds play. San Beda just got lucky in this game.

I dunno. Personally i see the sytem is there its just that no one besides gurtiza is stepping up offensively. Doromal and pagsanjan are busts so far. The lack of a big man also doesmt help. They got outrebounded by a much shorter jru team

Doromal suffered from an enlarged heart which might have affected his play as per an Inquirer article. Meanwhile Pagsanjan is really inconsistent. he is already an old "rookie" in collegiate standards.

I miss the old San Beda Red Lions teams. In close games, you know the likes of Pong Escobal, Borgie Hermida, BAser AMer, Robert Bolick and Jacob Cortez will make the right play. This season, our point guards are the weakest link and our supposed saviour to be Bryan Sajonia is not good enough to be 1. How i wish he will be like a Jimboy Estrada of Letran who can literally take over a game and create shots for his teammates. But im afraid San Beda has to live and die by the 3 and ride the broad shoulders of Jomel Puno and Yukien Andrada who are basically very good complimentary stars and not your typical Alpha type players.

The biggest problem of San Beda is the stretches when they suddenly become scoreless. Offensive fluidity is still a work in progress. But generally, they are performing almost similar to season 99.

As for Tagle, he was given chances this 1st round. But hopefully, the Coaching staff already sees his limitations.

We need a fail safe scorer a like Jacob Cortez to bail us out of those situations. I thought Sajonia or Calimag is going to be that guy but they're not. Also Gonzalez took a step back and Estacio has been shaky. Tagle though. We don't have the luxury or depth to keep a guy like him on the roster

For me it doesn't have to be a guard. It could still be either Andrada or Puno.

I think Nygel can get the job done. He just needs to be more assertive. Sajonia does not fit CYE's system. I don't think he will complkment Jimmy. Penny should be demoted to team b.
