I don't think you guys should hit the panic button yet, last time i checked CSB is still no.1. Yes, other teams are scouting you guys, but i believe in this AU game Ynot was sorely missed, he is an integral part of your team..but yes give credit where it is due, arellano defended well, and looks more active given that they played 2 days ago vs MU

I dont know man, those high turnovers are pretty alarming for me. Those kinds of TO numbers are game killers for any team even those as good as benilde. If teams like arellano and baste can do this, what more pa teams like mapua, letran and eac. They need to take care of the ball and execute better. Its like they're shooting themselves in the foot din kasi. But yeah credit to baste and arellano's defense as well. Their next game against jru will be crucial. If im not mistaken they also play the same in your face defense as well.

Imho Liwag can only dominate if the opposing team has no big. Look at the game vs sbu, letran, au.

Liwag had 18 and 17 with 2 blks today shooting 7-11. He topscored and anchored the defense as usual. This is on his guards for not finding him more. And when they do find him, liwag gets met with double and triple teams immediately. If you watch he pretty much owned capulong today. And as ive said this team doesnt need him to dominate. The team is not built like that.

As ive said he's getting double, triple team whenver he gets the ball. Who's not gonna rattle with that? He's not a guard so he cant just dribble it. And if you watch. Other than the awful cometa pass, most of the to's came from bad passes from his teammates.

I guess most people has the misconception that benilde needs liwag to dominate for them to win. They really dont. What the coaching staff really expects from him is to provide A-Tier defense no matter what and cleaning up his teammates mess. And in both regards he's doing a spectacular job. Could he still score more? Sure but he doesnt really need to especially if the opposing teams keeps on sending him multiple defenders and the arrsy of scorers benilde has in their lineup. So yes its true that the team is not built around him, but built WITH him.

Majority of Liwag’s points in this season come earlier. But on clutch time like final five minutes left in the game, CSB rarely goes to him. He serves as a decoy and let guards make the play. Most of the CSB wins, the guards make the plays.

To Liwag’s credit if not for his dominance in the earlier quarters, CSB would have been in a much difficult circumstance.

Exactly this is not solely liwag's team. And you're right, if he forces things especially when getting multiple defenders, he'll be branded naman as a ball hog. Actually most of the to's pa nga happened kasi he's trying to do too much. Again credit to arellano's defense for making hard it for him but still his numbers today are still solid.

Yes this is true. As much as possible coaching staff want to spread over usage numbers. Sometimes it depends din whoever is hot. But yeah main focal point of attack are the guards thats why missing ynot today was kinda big for them. One less shot creator in the position. One less guy arellano has to worry about.

24 actually, lead to 31 pts of turnovers. Actually quite surprised the game is even that close, any team that has over 20 to's usually lose by blowout.

Yup even had a couple more in the earlier qtrs. Again credit the defense of arellano on that. Tho for me this version of justine sanchez is alot better than the trigger happy one in his early years. He had a couple of unselfish plays leading to great assists.

Speaking of arellano, some of their losses could have easily been the w's so i have feeling they'll make a solid run in the 2nd round. We'll see if its enough for a final 4 spot.
