Maybe Francis Lopez of UP comes close, but I feel Puno's more complete. Sanchez doesn't have the physical tools, but he can score through penetration, shooting, and post play.

Lecciones is a lemon and would not make Team A. For all of Penny’s shortcomings, he did a fantastic job on Montecillo. Sure he misfired on offense but he was locked on on defense that’s why he had major minutes.

As for today beda had that in the bag, it took letran commiting a bad foul on puno that forced him out key minutes late in the game for them to come back. Lets not even talk abouy that bs landing spot foul that letran guys are able to get away with. The perps game even had perpetual multiple chances of winning the game. Lucky for letran they missed all the time. Again im not betting on a team that relies on luck to win. Id rather bet on mapua and san beda who actually lets their play decide the game. As for the baste game, thats not luck, thats stupidity on the part of the refs.

If the opposing team can't convert a basket-- could be a bad day, fatigue, good d, etc., its on them. Yes, those wins could partly be luck, but don't discredit the teams effort. I can say that Sajonia's shot is pure luck but I won't. I can also say that Ancheta's shot is pure luck, but i won't either. Its the ref's fault that they missed that traveling violation. At the end of the day, as long as a team won fair and square, a W is still a W.

Give credit where credit is due. The Knights led by as much as 10 pts, San Beda made the stops and convert their shots, while Letran can't buy a basket. That's it, plain and simple.

I'm just hoping for more exciting and close games to come. For me the top 2 spots are locked with CSB and Mapua, while 3 and 4 are still open for all the teams. If they can replicate s91, where the final standings were determined only on the final game day of the 2nd round, then it will be more exciting. lol

I'm still hoping that GMA will do a better job hyping the San Beda-Letran games. Heck even s23/S+A, where nc was the lesser priority did a better job. They even have pre game interviews with past and present players, video presentation and head-to-head stats of past matches. If not for the atmosphere in the arena earlier, that game will just look like a normal nc game.

Also, do you guys think it is better for each team to have their assigned CSR?

Him coming out greatly affected san beda's momentum. It completely affected defensive assignments and offensive playcalling. He was him during that game. Lastly how about that montecillo attempt, how is that a foul again? Ive been told that nygel was tasked to facilitate so thats why all we can see is his passing skills. Lol how can he shoot if we have to many shot creator like sajonia, rc, yuks, payosing and the emerging puno. But I think nygel is too passive he will do his task but nothing over that. Yeah, I get your point. I think you are referring to the old heads, and I'm not friends with them. I just enjoy watching the games, win or lose. At the end of the day its just a basketball game. If i being honest i have no problem with your team overachieving. Heck im a fan of santos. Its your friends who also commented on the thread here acting like your team is high and mighty when they havent done anything yet thats off to me. And worse after seeing prolly a bad sequence of my team, they come to the conclusion that letran will be the champion. They even discount the other contenders like mapua and beda, questioning their depth just to prove benilde is soft. How is having a 6-1 record, beating the two finalists last year while having 3 20+-point wins soft? Besides benilde what other contenders have they defeated? Lol didnt they got blown out by mapua, and of course the game today? How about perpetual, they needed 3 ot's just to beat them. EAC they only won by 2. How is that a legitimate contender. I dont need to see the future to tell that san beda was on their way to winning big before puno went done. As ive already said losing him completey changed the momentum and complexion of the game. How is luck involved with ancheta? Thats not luck buddy, thats the ref screwing up the game. Sige if you consider that lucky then you should consider your team lucky everytime your shooter gets away with sticking their leg out and drawing fouls.
