As for appearing in that dayo game, did he sought any permission from his mother team? If not thats already a ground for terminstion of his contract besides the fact.

Kinda disappointed with him, really thought he turned over a new leaf after that benilde incident as he was the one who really reached out to the blazers camp and directly apologized to the whole team. With this happening again looks like he really didnt sought any help with his anger management issues. Which is unfortunate since he's already earning good being a pro and all. He is fortunate that no one got hurt when he pulled that trigger. But should be punished as is.
Plot twist though; A second video came out showing that it was the other party, Lee Cacalda, that was aggressive and challenging Amores to a fight while the other was just quietly walking away and riding their motorcycle leaving the court. Some witnesses are now saying that Cacalda's group lost a 4k bet in a basketball game (not a ligang labas tournament) and they were actually waiting to ambush Amores and his companion on the highway hence JA's firing shots.

Still, sana hindi na naglaro sa ganyan si Amores, pro ka na eh, he had more to lose.

Yeah.. maybe his team might terminate his contract.. That is the bad side joining any ligang labas games... Just only 4k bet and they risking their lives.. he earns more than 100k per month and he participates any ligang labas games... Only Northport gives him a chance.. he was drafted late in last year's draft... That was already the sign that any team is not risking taking his services... He's was lucky that he's already in the rotation of coach Tan.. that means he is talented guy.. He wasted it.. But because we are known as "mapapatawad" culture.. maybe in the future he will learn his lesson and give another chance...Balkman was already banned by PBA but was given another chance, Torion was punished big by the PBA due to drug issues but still returned, Allado was given another chance despite his statement against PBA about game fixing.. I will not be surprise if PBA will give him another chance..

Stil poses a lot of questions tho. In the first vid its seen that amores and his bro abruptly left first, so if they left first how did cacalda and company able to setup an ambush point on a national road before amores and his bro passed on that area. If im not mistaken, they are already on their way back to pagsanjan hence why they pass by the brgy where the shooting occured. Also theres the gun in question, seems like it wasnt legally obtained hence the need for amores to throw it away so even in a self defense stand point, he's still at fault for firing an unregistered firearm.

Tho i agree, he shouldnt have played on those type of games. I mean if you go there knowing you have to bring a gun for protection, you should aready know its a bad idea. Plus people already know his temper so it shouldnt be surprising for him that opposing players will use that against him. He shouldve realized he had lot more to lose than gain in choosing to go to a situtation like that. So still, this is on him.

Hmm i dont think ja morant fired that weapon or did he? Amores however did thus the attempted murder charges. And of course the gun in question pa. For ja that maybe registered but for what amores used, maybe not. So thats already two criminal charges. Attempted Murder, and illegal possesion of a firearm. Also they may add fleeing the scene of a crime pa but they might ask for clemency on that since they willingly surrendered to authorities. Any team or league will do just about anything to escape headache so i wouldnt be surprised if northport terminates the contract and pba bans him for life especially if he's proven guilty.

            • Anyways looks like another former letran player has found a new team. Joco Bojorcelo is now with St. Claire. He joins other former knight in new schools: Paolo Galvez(FEU), Jay Garupil(JRU). Other team b players and recruits with new schools: Bryan Alarcon(Arandia), Kevin Guibao(Perps), Jr Guevarra (JRU), Renly Bayquin(CEU), Franco Ortega (Arellano), Joshua Garing and Ira Manas (Diliman College). While vets like Neil Guarino and Ken Brillantes, joins Kyle Tolentino and Kent Ariar in also moving on from the team.

What? Amores literally tried to murder another human being, and you're comparing it to Ja Morant showing a gun on social media? After all the chances he's been given, I don't think he belongs in basketball.

That is the nearest predecessor we can compare.. And like Amores, Morant have already past troubles and been suspended many times by the NBA... Let just say Indefinite suspension could be the harsh penalty for Amores... Another nearest predecessor is Mikey Williams (not from the TNT), His situation is similar to Amores, he did shot a gun too but he was never banned for life by US NCAA, although Memphis University suspended him indefinitely...

For sure Northport Wilm terminates his contract.. His situation is like Mikey Williams (not from the TNT).. he also shoot a gun too and already charged at prison.. but US NCAA didn't ban him for life.. although his former school suspended him...

Renly Bayquin is now in his 3rd school already. After LPU and Letran.

Yes the analogy does not make sense.

It's like comparing P Diddy showing his manoy in social media to something like P Diddy baby-oiling someone and actually penetrating him against his will (but just misses the hole).

The Arenas and Critterton locker room incident is a bit more relevant. They argued and Arenas laid guns and asked Critterton to choose. Basically, both got eventually ghost-banned by the league and Critterton is now in jail for other unrelated criminal charges, turns out he's really a nutjob.

Amores was already in a scooter and no longer facing threat. A lot of time also passed since their altercation so he's had time to cool off. His choices:

                        A. Speed away, avoid the guy standing shirtless on the street and just call it a day
                        B. Get down the bike and fight the guy with hands (of which he's pretty good)
                        C. Get down, show his gun, and when the guy runs be content and call it a day
                        D. Get down, show his gun, and when the guy runs away chase after him and shoot him

And preceding all of this, he had a choice of whether playing in a dayo pustahan game or not. He not only chooses to go but alsobrings a loaded gun (no chance in hell he has a permit to carry even if it is registered).

Prisons exist exactly for people who can't make this simple choices.

                        • Did Amores really commit murder? Why is this circulating in social media? Is this the crime he is being charged of? Is there already a pending case or is it still inder police investigation?

4th school actually, before landing with ceu he was with rensy bajar in diliman college, spending a semester there. Unfortunstely due to his age, schools outside of the ncaa were his only choice

Attempted murder. He and his brother already had an inquest proceeding in a sta cruz laguna trial court.

Could be a prosecutors office not a trial court. Trial courts dont conduct inquest proceedings. Looks like Amores is not getting any legal advice. He should have waited for a formal complaint filed against him before he surrendered to the police authorities. If there is no sub poena or warrant arrest you cant be compelled by law enforcers to go with them or to appear in their office for investigation.
