They have no problems getting those players as they believe it to be a good investment for that tourney, im hearing for d12, something similar to what nba vets get for a 10 day contract, the rest will get a bit lower. As for the coaches, BG is expensive for them since they already have rajko employed. Remember before him, they had zoran martic who was a champion coach himself in the same capacity. They could have kept both but once rajko was available, they didnt extend the slovenian anymore.

But I think SBU is well prepared with Puno and incoming Richi Calimag manning the SF spot.

Payosing is the last of the players managed by or with close ties to personalities with a grudge against San Beda.

In fact, Payosing was expected to leave last year together with the group of Ynot, Sanchez and Cometa. I was actually surprised he stayed. He took advantage of the departure of his friends to maximize the sudden playing time available to him and he did good. Only that he expected a substantial raise in allowance after bagging the Finals MVP.

If there's one thing the championship did for SBU management is that they were given a fresh mandate. I think this is the first time that the MVP sports foundation and Smart officials came in full force.
