I just hope for Baste to maximize all the learnings they could get this season. They are really underdogs this season lineup wise.

And that Aguilar guy! He’s the most ball hog I’ve ever seen! He’s not even that good! He’s not even a team A material to be honest. That’s why I’m amazed as to where the h€ll is his guts coming to be such a ball hog. I hope Aguilar gets booted out of the lineup next season. A ball hog like him is too much hindrance for any team. A little positive from their last game though is Pascual. He really has a stroke beyond the arc and he’s a pass first PG. I hope for the coaches to trust him even more.

And I hope they get an experienced consultant to handle the incoming recruits and to help devise a system that would fit the team well come season 101. Caidic is nowhere to be found. He’s not even a good coach honestly, that’s why I think he’s not fit to be a consultant. Even a Siot Tanquincen type of consultant would help Baste. I think coach Arvin is doing a good job considering the lineup that he has. They just need a great consultant to guide them and for the incoming recruits talents’ not to be put to waste they really need an experienced and a great consultant.

Yes. If I’m coach Arvin, I would definitely bench him right away the moment he does his usual ball hogging antics. And that last play during the dying seconds of the game, AU just held the ball and didn’t call a play anymore coz it’s clear the game is over and he still grabbed the ball from that AU player and took a 3 point shot. As if he’s a sureball whenever he fires a trey. No class at all! Baste doesn’t need him! He’s one of the weakness of Baste to be honest. I’d take Pascual over him any day!

If he could just see the comments of Sebastinos on him on the livestream. D@mn! We’re all cursing at him! Any of the incoming guard recruits could take his place! For crying out loud, he’s a PG! He’s supposed to set up his teammates! At least when Are is the man on the point, whenever he drives and the defense gets to him, he dishes out the ball to his open teammates. That’s Are already! It was pure reflex action on the part of Ancheta. It happened so fast that you could tell he didn't think, and immediately stopped once he realized what he did. What it tells though is, in fight or flight moments, his instinct is to fight. Which can be a good thing, he just has to learn to use that instinct properly.

His action ended up having CSB miss a player who could've played well in the crucial moments.

Yeah upon watching the replay ancheta might have thought javillonar purposedly barreled into him thus the reaction. Prolly because Javillonar has that dirty reputation too. I remember him for real punching a beda player in a pba dleague game before. Its just that this time its more on his momentum while trying to grab a rebound. Ancheta is a good kid, you can tell that he respects and listens to the coaches and vets, if you watch his interviews he's really humble. Its just that he as that temper that he should continue trying to work on. I always say the he has that bulldog in him and unfortunately in that moment, it got unleashed in a bad way

Same thoughts. I don’t understand why he’s being given more playing time than Pascual. Pascual is the better PG. He scans the floor first, see who’s his open teammates, then he takes a shot if he has a good line. The only advantage of Aguilar is he’s more familiar with the other Golden Stags as Pascual is a newcomer.

In fairness to Aguilar, he does some offense but it’s mostly a low IQ type of plays. So if it goes in, it’s chamba. Then he doesn’t set up his teammates considering it’s his role as a PG. And not that reliable on defense as well. In short, he’s a total liability!

I think Baste experimented on that AU game. They played 13-14 of their players. I think they’re trying to stretch the rotation. They underestimated AU. And they paid the price on the payoff period. Even more surprising is they started Pascual on that game. Good thing about that is they saw what Pascual can do for them. He topscored for them at the end of the half. I think Pascual just needs to take more shots especially if he has a good line.

San Beda just recruited a 6'3 Fil-am PG/SG described as very athletic by those who saw him play in the US. The Red Lions kept the recruitment of this player secret and it was revealed only when he finally showed up in person after enrolling in Mendiola.

Bedans have been calling him Julius Armon 2.0 but methinks this player could be better than Armon.
