And if's not just this game since after his debut game, he's strung together sub par games since.
Off the rebound yet the letran big men were all there. No matter how many followups he gets, if the post is clogged like that anyone will have a hard time making those shots. Ncaa coaches should and already had made adjutstments after that mapua game and its not surprising. Whenever csb misses, opposing teams put 2-3 rebounders just to secure the boards. While yes offensively he's been contained, defensively he's still as solid. And thats the advantage csb has, he doesnt need to score like gozum to help the team.

Nah imho letrans physicality is too much for csb. Csb try to be thugs but it backfires.

Nah, we cant really say his ejection led to the lost. Just missed a lot of easy shots. Benilde has a deep guard rotation anyways. Even that last eusebio 3 was halfway in before rimming out. Today was not their day.

Letran wasnt even that physical. That went away once the 3 peat guys left. Letran under ricardo has become more methodical and hard pressed relying on their D and dribble drive offense. Still believe a lot of calls favored letran. Lots of moving screens, even the cuajao shots were he sticks out his leg. Come on you gotta call that. Couple that with the sorry misses, its a recipe of disaster for them. Whatever physicality they had, was to match up with whatever letran is giving them. Still, even with all that its only a 2 pt loss. Its not demoralizing or whatever. Defeats like this were they know for a fact that they can win against them is a good fuel for the fire for the next matchup, maybe even for the whole season.

Imo this may make benilde even more deadlier. Im sure the coaching staff will be up on their asses in the next days. They need to practice those shots, even the freethrows. Im expecting a more focused and consistent team in the next games.

As for ancheta, best case scenario is 2 game suspension, wont be surprised if he gets 3 or 4 tho. He shpild be replsced by cometa in the starting lineup, i prefer torres to tsy in the second unit, while should give cajucom more minutes as the secondary playmaker off the bench.

                • The game could have gone either way. Letran played good D and came back from 14 points. CSB just could not execute and make their shots. Credit to the Letran D.

It was the same as the San Beda-St. Benilde game wherein San Beda just wasn’t able to execute and make their shots in OT. St. Benilde made their shots when it mattered in OT. That’s why they won over San Beda in OT.

I'm unsure which ones you're referring to but I saw Allen's body language changed when he missed a wide open lay up which you could only infer that even he knew he missed a makeable shot.

Agree. Letran deserved to win today, no matter how lucky cuajao got, anytime a team lets someone comes back from a double degit lead, its on them. Letran made the right adjustments while benilde made a lot of bad misses. They just need to put it behind them, learn from it and bounce back. As the saying goes, better to lose now than in the crucial games. Atleast they have 5 days to regroup and work on their weaknesses.

As ive said, that what happens you get doubled team all throughout the game. It made him force shots. Its the drawback of the opponents defense respecting him and being a marked man. Again even with his offensive struggles, whats important is that he's still playing big defensively. Even he himself admitted that in his interviews.

If he hadn't been ejected, I bet the game wouldn't have been that close.

Letran got luck tho, those straight 9 points from Cuajao is brutal AF plus CSB's blunder in the 4th.

Haha yup thats why im more scared for LPU now. This the same pirates team benilde thrashed in the pinoyliga big dance finals. Dont think guadana played there tho csb also missed ynot as well.

Just wasnt their day today. Lots of sorry misses, even those at the freethrow. Letran specically outshot them in the 3pt area pa. If you looked at every other category except for perimeter shots and to's, benilde led. If benilde made atleast half of those 11 misses, might be a different result

I think Ancheta is the "key" as to why CSB dominated their past games up until now, he got ejected and resulted to a loss, but that is just my opinion anyway.
