Don't feed the frickin troll haha, kaka champ niyo lang so basag ego niyan kaya he's trolling na lang. Imagine sa lahat ng sinabi niya, walang nagkatotoo haha. Dude has something against mvp teams since he calls ateneo, taeneo too lmao.

Yep, that needs to change. If we're going All-Filipino, at least have a hefty guy like a Javillonar, Umali, Guiab, or Cuntapay play the 5, so that wings like Puno can play like wings. I actually like that about Beda and now Benilde, they let their tall wings play like wings.

And going to All-Filipino, I've said it before, not every All-Filipino team is complete. This applies to professional and collegiate levels. Heck, not every team has a rim protector at center like a Jopia or a Japeth, or wings like Puno and Sanchez.

The All-Filipino lineups that win are usually the ones with the most firepower (SMB Death 5, Letran 3-peat, TNT All-Filipino 2021) or most complete (SMB Death 5).

For practical reasons stay in San Beda. Win another one plus an MVP and Korea is waving. He has the potential to get more money and a longer contract than Oczon.

Jacob made it clear yesterday he wanted to stay.

People forget that previously Mike Cortez wanted to go to Ateneo. But it was La Salle who gave him the opportunity. This time around with his son, it was San Beda who gave the opportunity to shine.

But who knows everything could change during the euphoria of a championship.

As ive said in the season 99 thread, if he's smart, he should stay, he'll just be wasting a year due to residency anyways, not to mention the uncertainty after season 87 when kq and topex eventually leaves. Atleast by staying put he'll be undisputed king lion.

Doesnt need to move anyways, i mean if we're talking about money, im sure the dollars these foreign teams can pay him as soon as after next season should be more than enough. Not to mention la salle already said no to him by offering a team B spot fresh out of hs, then when they started courting him back last year, he already said no. What does that tell us if he suddenly moves back to la salle then? He's already doing a great job forging his own path and going back to his dad's alma mater will just tarnish all that, he can just continue building off his own legacy.

To be fair I think him moving to La Salle won't really leave a bad taste to the Bedan community. The RL won't win the title w/o him this year, so the school will always be thankful. Maybe the run yesterday while Jacob was cramping is foreshadowing that the Lions will be fine in case he moves on. The team B is also still full of hungry and competent guards. Don't get me wrong, he'll definitely be missed (unlike Ynot & Sanchez), but it will not doom San Beda.

Jacobs role wit the team is to bail them out offensively when others arent scoring thats why he ither explodes or the other guys step out and he becomes a decoy.. that was the story of the team since filbasket and d league whn jacob is limited the red lions crumbles this time they learn their lesson..
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
                      1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

Anyways with season 99 seniors basketball done, what's your way too early final 4 predictions for season 100? Me it would be:

Beda -even if jacob does leave, team is still pretty deep with the addition of the key transferees, not to mention having a full year with norman black, hoping to see big improvements from lina and the other bigs.

Benilde -with the best recruiting class csb ever assembled, team should be able to reach final 4 at the minimum, hoping that a year under rajko will finally pay dividends, only a question of chemistry and cohesion between basically two sets of teams, remnants of seasom 99 team a and the up and coming transferees from team B

EAC -most of the incoming recruits went under the radar but with a solid coach in jerson cabiltes, another year with gurtiza, team should be a lock for the final 4. Doromal, pagsanjan and manlapaz will give gurtiza all the help he needs in offense. Still need a legit bigman tho unless umpad of course develops overnight

Mapua -core still pretty solid even if boni and hernandez leaves. Escamis pretty much confirms him staying for season 100, not to mention solid low key transferees and team b guys in the pool too.

                        Darkhorses:

LPU -even with back to back final 4 failures, team should be intact other than losing enoch, success will probably depend on guadana stepping up offensively, further development of barba, bravo and cunanan and of course discipline of umali. Team b guys playing for pinoyliga looks solid as well

Perps -Assuming both nitura and roque stays(rumors of both leaving cooled off with saguiguit getting extended), team should be much better than they were last year when they started cold, remains to be seen tho who'll take over for razon as the leader and the floor general.

JRU -with JL and RY the only guys graduating, good for them to have their replacements already with the team in Argente and Ramos. Team should still be good, but this year was their best chance of finally qualifying for the final 4 again, with other teams also improving in season 100 they might get stranded in the middle of the pack again.

                        Still not there yet:

Arellano -most of coach chico's recruits will finally play next year, solid pieces to build on like bigman john capulong. Team B team looks solid too beating UP team B in the recent pinoyliga tourney.

Letran -team should improve upon a two win season, i mean cuajao will be back, atleast they'll be getting good players in pradella, guibao and estrada with solid young guards to build upon: Frosh of the year Garupil, incoming transferee nathan montecillo and jonas napalang. Still, the pending moving out of some of their guys does dampen their hopes a lot.

Baste -remains to be seen with how little we know with regards to their recruits. Losing desoyo calahat and sumudo should sting alot, but atleast they'll still have kallos and the backing of cuevas's with them.

Of course things could still change, players and coaches can suddenly leave, boosters and sponsors can suddenly drop a team, and of course teams have yet to start announcing incoming moves. Just hope season 100 is as crazy competitive season 99 was.

Yes for sure, alot of bedan friends are saying the same, siguro talaga its all about what really wants, if he wants to do the evan nelle route, then good for him. Still, wont change the uncertainty that is to come once KQ and topex leaves.

And the selling point really is kq and topex ;eaving...

It's almost like La Salle is determined to avenge what happened between them/San Beda/Robert Bolick..haha. anyway, what a season 99 for the league.

OT: still feels weird for a country this small we have 2 collegiate leagues. 2 finals that was both a success. hopefully someday the two leagues can merge.

1st term pa lang ata ni cong franz haha 2 more terms for him lol haha. If they leave who'll replace KQ as the go to guy? Pretty hard replace a talent like him, for the coach naman, are they really sure that whoever they'll replace him with, will bring with him not only the success, but the respect of the players and community Topex achieved. We'll see then haha still, he already bet himself once by going to beda, he'll be betting on himself again if he chooses to transfer out as well.
