      • 17 out of the 18 Mapua players are taking up Physical Education. Only Escamis is taking up a different course (Industrial Engineering). Magkaka-klase siguro yung buong team. Lol.

Yup just saw NCAA's post he is the only one taking up a different course. Others are taking up Phyical Education lol.

interesting choice of course sine IE seems to be a course that has demands when it comes to school works. Will he finish the course though.

Team is really all in on basketball with that course.

            • Paolo Hernandez finished 2 terms ago his Psychology Degree and graduated. Adrain Nocum just finished his thesis defense last term. Warren Bonifacio is the one having a difficult time completing his thesis with prototype for his Computer Engineering degree, perhaps after this MPBL season he will be able to finished it.

I get it tho, with how rigorous the standards of mapua is. I find it similar to how ateneo mbt players are mostly taking up interdisciplinary studies

Not bad since not all athletes are gifted with intellect so schools should equip them with a degree that fully taps their skills/competencies.

Won't that affect his eligibility? They used to be tough on those. Especially when you haven't finished HS.

Not really sure how they will see it pero as long as he isnt getting paid, i guess he's safe? I think ncaa just doesnt want them playing in pro leagues like pba or mpbl.

                          standards of the school?
                          or easier options for student-athletes?

Yup, its not necessarily a bad thing. Especially if they transition into coaching or other related fields. But being all in has its drawbacks, what if they fall out of love with basketball for one?

                              • With the official lineups released, my preseason rankings are:
                                1. CSB
                                2. Mapua
                                3. San Beda
                                4. LPU
                                5. EAC
                                6. Letran
                                7. Arellano
                                8. JRU
                                9. Perpetual
                                10. SSC

Top 3 teams will probably rack up lots of wins, especially to get that twice to beat advantage that will be handy in the final 4. 4-6th place will be tight but record will be closer to .500. San Sebastian may end up going winless.
