OT: Joshua Cajucom should consider showbusiness if the basketball career doesnt pan out, should follow in former blazers: david licauco, Freddy pajarillaga and prince carlos footsteps.
Josh de sequera too, dude was a blockmate of mine years ago, juggled his studies, being a blazer and a runway model haha. But yeah cajucom has the visuals, he would always get the loudest cheers whenever they show him on screen in the games watch at the venue.

But damn looks like Cometa's hand injury is worse than it seems. Hope he recovers in time for season 100.

His hand should be good to go before the season starts. The concern is that it was the shooting hand that was hurt so expect some clunkiness when it comes to his shot even when he's already a hundred percent. On the bright side his injury did open up more minutes to ancheta and torres who are both playing solid as the lead guard. Even combo guards cajucom and ynot were given more responsibilities to setup the offense. While guys like victoria and jalalon are given opportunities to audition for a reserve spot.

With only a few months to go before the opening, goal should be keeping every one, especially the blue chip recruits healthy but at the same time fit for season 100

      • Anyways is san beda training in the states with tumakbo? Heard one of the tumakbo kids in california got assaulted in an AAU game. Some other player stomped on the tumakbo player's head while he was down. Hope everyone stays safe there.

Yeah. It was a 13U game.

            Tumakbo vs Payton's Place

Payton's Place was down by 7 with 45 seconds left and Tumakbo had the ball to be inbounded.sPayton's Place were playing really physical and were trying to steal the inbound, but didnt succeed, so they did what looked like an intentional foul to stop the clock. But it was a hard foul that brought both kids to the floor. A light scuffle was starting and a Payton Place teammate just decided that would be a good time to stomp on the head of the Tumakbo player on the ground.

            Insane.

Thats messed up man. I mean at that age, that kid who did the stomping needs theraphy. Maybe even some juvy time. Hope the tumakbo kid is all right. Things couldve ended way worse.

Tumakbo kid is named Seth Guingab and is under concussion protocol, so can't play for a while. There was an actual physical imprint of the attacker's show on the side of his head. But overall he seems to be recovering okay.

                  • Coach Charles Tiu is a guest in Naveen Ganglani's podcast and shared some interesting info:

-Ravena got pissed at Ynot on their walkthrough of that last taiwan game haha. He really needs to mature more especially if he plans om turning pro after season 100

-He wanted KQ and Ballungay for SGA. KQ begged off to focus on Gilas while Ballungay instead focused on the draft

-seems like Topex is really keeping his word with one la salle, with charles tiu confirming they have a great relationship. Having some of the same managers between the two programs help (The Reyes'). And as for the recent recruits from dlsu, topex did hit up charles tiu first to give him first dibs on those who plans to move out. But charles did say that both jr players from zobel and greenhills do infact prefer to go to dlsu first. So it does confirm that benilde just gets the scraps, and unlike what most of those not in the know, benilde does not really have a jrs team of their own. Atleast charles tiu is a big fan of player development so theres that.

-more recruits are in the cards(no more sj moore though haha)

-liwag, ynot, ancheta and sangco are some of the sure locks for the season 100 lineup, theres around 8-9 in total already. That leaves around 10 open roster spots.

-wants liwag to be converted as a power forward

-not fan of the 4 point line, describing it as a gimmick and there are more things that should be fixed first

CCT might be better off as a program director. If things dont work out in ateneo this year, he is will be a good candidate to replace debbie and epok.

We're left with crumbs. I dont see anyone good enough to make the line up this year or atleast having an impact in the ncaa

No jrs pipeline, but atleast the dlsu one opened up. The ynot thing is the least surprising in all of these lol still a headache haha

There are at least two excellent players. One is a guard whose game will remind you of Fil-Canadian Daniel Marcelo. Same size, skills and athleticism. While the other is a tall wing similar to Jomel Puno.

I dont see charles tiu leaving the sga umbrella soon. Especially with how the Lao's has been running things. And a move as a program director, even in a bigger league in the uaap and ateneo seems like a lateral move for him. Maybe if its a head coaching gig, he might consider it but other than that, the pay and opportunites SGA is providing him is to good to pass up. He doesnt even seem that loyal to ateneo anyways, he said so himself, he considers himself more as a xavier kid than an atenean. Not to mention he's loyal to whoever works for.
