the game earlier today was painful to watch.. there were instances that there was too much weaving and passing only to end in a players hand with no distinct advantage and almost no time on the shot clock.. there were also instances that a player could have taken a better %age midrange or drove to the basket but still passed/weave only to end with a chucked shot… many 3pt shots didnt even hit the rim..

also needs to improve shooting free throws…

add jimboy estrada from letran (luckily SBU won that Filoil game) with Marcelo and Cyril Gonzales that toyed with SBU defense..

SBU is going to live and die by shooting 3's, that's what they did last season.

last year, they had alfaro, jacob cortez, and sometimes cuntapay together with andrada and tagle to drain those 3s.. at least with cuntapay, may threat kahit papaano sa 3s..

also last season, other teams are still adjusting how to defend that.. this time around, i think opposing teams have a better read defending it..

jacob was really a big loss.. he was the anomaly in that yuri ball system.. he fits in the system but occasionally was given to opportunity to be creative and lethal..

Yukien & Payosing became very inconsistent with their shooting after Jacob left, only reliable shooter now is Tagle who can sink 3 consistentl. Only question now is how big of a factor will the injured players make in this team.

We have Jimmy Reyes but will be available next season. Better than Jacob IMO.

Cardinals’ team B just started team practice last Saturday, that’s why many players cramp up and some doesnt know the system yet.

Does drex and manlapaz practice already?

SBU was in cruise control and had no urgency to win whatsoever because they are preparing for their annual US training. TM Jude just finished two tryouts in Canada.

IMO, if cyril didn't leave mapua in the first place, he could be a top collegiate PG right now. he held his own vs the likes of yu and nelle back then.

Is he enrolled with letran? If not, he can still go back with MIT and play a once right?

*Rosillo’s parents are anxious, since a lot of point guards were recruited by Letran, plus Rosillo was recruited not by coach Allen, but by SGA.

On paper rosillo should be fine, unless letran gets a bonafide pg, he'll be slotted to have a main role for them next season and if he was recruited by sga then he should be safe. Allen Ricardo naman is with SGA and if the parents are worried with him as the coach, its not yet confirmed he'll still be there by the time delta officially takes over the program. If rosillo leaves again he'll have a pretty bad rep. Didnt he commit to adamson then made a sudden uturn to mapua? Then suddenly left mapua where he was already playing a key role.

As for AP, dude needs to change whoever is in his circle or advising him. Should have never left adamson in the first place. Then left eac where he just finished residency, to move to another school and to again serve residency. He'll be 24 by the time he'll be eligible for his next school. Instead of playing down in collegiate basketball he should just turn pro now atleast he wont have anything else to worry about

He shouldnt have left Mapua in the first place. He is a perfect complimentary piece alongside Escamis or Cyril Gonzales once Escamis turns pro.
