I believed the Sbu teams, Abueva led Stags, the 2015 and 2019 Knights have shown that the league is at par with the Uaap in terms of talent.

Even the Bong Alvarez led Stags were so dominant that it man handled the Uaap Champ Ateneo. Same with the Adducul led Stags which has dominated every competition in 95 and 96.
I think the dominance of the Tab-era ADMU raised the bar considerably in the UAAP. UP and DLSU had to ramp up it's recruitment, training and coaching to be able to compete (and they have now caught up). In the process of all other UAAP teams trying to play catch-up, the gap between UAAP and NCAA widened.

An undersized center (6'6"-6'8") is fine only if he has the combination of length, strength and athleticism to compensate for their lack of size. Kaso lang, we have few homegrowns of that mold.
For me they dont even have to dominate these fsa's, just focus on their own developement and help their team win in the process. Lets be real, itll be hard to stop these taller fsa but with proper development and great baskeball iq, atleast they'll be able to contain them. Recent example CSB v FEU in filoil. Was liwag and company able to stop konateh? Nope he still had a double double of 15 points and 14 rebounds but atleast they did enough for him to not to dominate in the post and almost win the game if not for that miracle 3pointer

Agree. Tab changed the recruitment landscape. Coaching? Hmm maybe to some extent.

The Ncaa has to be realistic in its approach. What it can only do is to narrow the gap. The return of the FSA is a must. IMO they should consider their stance with SGL. Its the only way to counter the money being offered by the other schools.

Not really long term besides Sen Pia already expressed her dissent with the new rule. The league must find ways to entice recruits to play in the NCAA. Make the league more player friendly but impose a stricter rules on eligibility.

how to entice players to go to the NCAA? raise the level of competition by allowing FSAs back and please replace the old guards of the mancom with new blood that is willing to embrace the international game

With due respect, Fr. Vic Calvo of Letran and PAul Supan of JRU need to step down. These 2 oldheads are like termites who weaken the NCAA organization for the longest time.

Haha yeah Supan is an effing d-bag. Still remembered when the amores thing happened, benilde never heard from him and when even he publicly apologized on behalf of jru, he never mentioned any of the players that was hit, or csb, he just directed it to the ncaa. Talk about being accountable lol. Atleast Amores himself had the guts to go to benide and personally ask forgiveness to the team.

They voted in favor of the ban even though they had 2 FSAs playing for them at the time. And they had a habit of making it difficult for their former players to transfer to another school. If I'm a BB player I'd think twice enrolling there

Idk what will happen but the UAAP should really do soemthing about that. It will set a bad precedent . I dont think they can impose stricter rules on eligibility right now. The ncaa has caught up once again. The pandemic years were bad basketball

Agree on both point. NCAA should consider their current stand regarding FSA and SGL.
