Here is wishing that the FSA ban will be lifted soon and as your school was the primary initiator of the ban, they should at least be the primary initiator of its lifting as well. We all see how these FSA's helped programs like Enderun, OLFU, St. Claire and CEU gave teams from the UAAP and NCAA a competitive fight. Also, your Jimboy Estrada is a baller. He is so much better than Cuajao and could be argued he is better than Reyson since Jimboy is bigger, and more physical than Kurt. Hope to see LEtran in the Final 4 again in Season 100.
I know SGA are in favor of FSAs. Not sure about Delta tho.

The preseason for SBU has given us a big tell-tale sign that it lacks a quality big man that can give a decent rim protection and rebounding. Something Jopia provided last season.

CSB has been consistent in all of their preseason tournaments. Letran was a revelation in the FilOil and credit goes to Allen Ricardo for the turnaround.

Mapua and San Beda are in the same boat. Players seem to grapple for chemistry and cohesion.

      • The 4 ncaa teams in the quarterfinal of filoil seems to be the best 4 of the ncaa. Letran and Csb are already peaking, while mapua and beda are trying to figure out their chemistry and cohesion. The still have time but im betting this 4 would be the final 4 comes the season.

        • In my observation, both mapua and beda just need a quality big. Both teams already have weapons that can go toe to toe with anyone in terms of shooting, its just that both lack the size that can match up with someone like benilde who can deploy multiple jumbo lineups while still not giving up perimeter shooting and defense. Escamis is still our reigning ncaa mvp and while payosing and yuks will still provide big minutes for beda.

In terms of letran, the coaching change really turned the program around, wonder if delta will keep him on board full time and if sga is willing to let him go. That ue game, letran wasnt even fielding a complete team, not only jimboy was absent but so were the vets javillonar and monje.

For csb, what else can say than both teams played a grwat game. Jorick made a miracle shot and they won lol. That was it siguro one thing that lost the game for the blazers, 10 missed free throws lmao. They went 3 for 13 haha.

Eac will be there, one thing i noticed i havent seen doromal play that much. He and gurtiza will be a solid backourt for them. I still have hopes for lpu too, we havent seem their filfor play and he can be their missing link, i mean the effort and scrappiness are still there and coach gilber malabanan is an underrated coach.

            • With this current San Beda line up, Letran has the better chance of reaching the Final 4 in Season 100 than San Beda repeating. Its not just the lack of bigs but their point guard rotation is iffy. The rookie pg of Letran plays with more poise and confidence than 3 pg's of San Beda. Royo is a turnover machine and too small, Estacio is too small and plus he needs to bulk up. Gonzales has the potential to become the best pg among the 3 but he is too inconsistent and he is not a good creator.

              • The Mapua Cardinals have recruited Andre Macaranas from New Jersey to bolster their talent pool in the NCAA men’s basketball division, according to his representation Fil-Nation Select.

Macaranas will undergo residency in 2024 as a transferee from FDU-Florham and will play out his remaining three years of eligibility as a Cardinal beginning S101 of the NCAA next year.

That allen ricardo connection with his squires players is priceless. Thats why diamante should just stay in letran, look at what manalili is doing with this srs team.

                  • This is just a preseason league.Last year Letran also went far in the preseason league and we all know what happened to them. In the same vein, San Beda did not even qualified for the quarterfinals last year.

San Beda's lineup is not yet final and im quite sure this goes the same for other teams. Panic button need not be pressed.

                    • Last year, SBU had a consistent scorer in Cortez. This time, they are still trying to figure out who that will be, and I hope they find out when they start their training abroad. Any updates on Ronrei and Lina's injuries?

And last year letran had an awful system often relying on iso plays off reyson. Now theres better ball movement and everyone's moving around not forcing shots. On defense everyone's playing smarter compared to last year too.

Barring any major shakeups, and with the arrival of all filfor recruits, this may be the lineups we'll see in every team, thats why filoil is a good indicator where your team is at.

                        • Same observatinon, mapua hasn’t have a legit bigman. While beda, just not showing there full potential yet and maybe hiding there cards for now. Benilde and letran look’s like shoo ins in the final 4. Hopefully, it’s not late for the cardinals to can get a reliable big man because from what I see, this is a very different team with bonifacio, hernandez and soriano departed from the team.

                          • Early final four prediction:

                            Sbu
                            Mu
                            Csb
                            Eac

*imho what we are seeing this preseason is not the real red lions rotation come s100. Same as s99 the preaseason of red lions was a disaster. As you can see Yuri test the bench on how they can contribute when the season starts. You can also notice that the substitution pattern is different. It is very evident that Yuri trying comibinations.

Yeah, i think they might be on par with EAC. Next season is going to be a close one for sure.
