In terms of teams yes. Besides letran, beda and mapua, how many teams can go toe to toe with uaap jrs teams. Lsgh hasnt been the same and you know perps will take a step back next year not to mention uaap has fsa's now in the jrs, not to mention junior high tourney pa so guys going to jrs ball will be more prepared.

I agree, lsgh was still solid then, so were teams like arellano and lyceum who had blue chips of their own. Unfortunately last year, ncaa jrs was so top heavy, and i dont see things changing next season. Squires will still be the team to beat, red cubs will be better next year while the red robins have a solid team b which will they will prolly elevate. Perps will prolly take a step back but alteast daep is still there. While greenies and the brigadiers are prolly a season away from truly contending.

For the uaap naman, even with most of the guys from adamson and feu moving to college, both teams will still be great. NU returns a solid core while ust and ue will improve with another year of their programs. Zobel still has kieffer alas(for now) and ateneo is also a season away from being solid while upis as ive said will be now handled by bo perasol so you know this team will surely improve sooner rather than later. So yeah in terms of teams, i believe uaap jrs will be more competitive next season than ncaa.

        • Any Letran team insider?
          Re: Diamante
Someone told me that Diamante's grades are still incomplete? They are still trying to fix it so that there will be no issues in the future.
Is this true or fake news?

          • Culdora might be a steal for SBU. That guy is underrated.

Culdora looks taller beside Hawkins (6’3) and Bonzalida (6’3) in a recent pic. He has good ball handling skills for his size. Good mid-range jumper. Hope Yuri develops him into a FIBA-type of swingman. And he just turned 19.

2 to 3 more bigs and we're good to go. Hopefully the mancom sees the light and allow fsa to play in the ncaa.

First time poster and silent reader here.

I agree. and btw, I'm a letranite. These 6'3-6'6 kids should be trained to play the 2-4 spot. Those old school letranites lang talaga 'til now can't accept the fact na FSAs are a must na in collegiate basketball. NCAA teams were getting whooped in the a** by teams with FSAs in preseason tourneys and that should be enough as an eye opener to the NCAA mancom.

Welcome! I like your thinking, and I hope you have a good time here.

I personally loathe the unsportsmanlike attitude of your fellow Letranistas. And I hope you guys can develop Gilas-worthy players.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yeah, if you can just read the comments of these old heads, CRINGY. Even the "ALL FILIPINO CHAMP", "NO IMPORT, NO PROBLEM" banners from the 2015 and 2019 championships were cringy as sh*t. Some even have the nerve to bash the new management for the lack of big in the lineup, bakit daw puro guard blah blah. As if the management is not doing there part in looking for a serviceable big. I hope for s101 FSAs will be back.

Anyways, I believe we'll be a team to beat in this upcoming season. For me, our biggest recruit for this upcoming season is not the players, but the coaching staff. You can really see the difference, the team just started training last april and they are already at the top of the filoil NCAA bracket without the key players for most of the games.

Wow. Hearing this from a Letranite is such a breath of fresh air. Here is wishing that the FSA ban will be lifted soon and as your school was the primary initiator of the ban, they should at least be the primary initiator of its lifting as well. We all see how these FSA's helped programs like Enderun, OLFU, St. Claire and CEU gave teams from the UAAP and NCAA a competitive fight. Also, your Jimboy Estrada is a baller. He is so much better than Cuajao and could be argued he is better than Reyson since Jimboy is bigger, and more physical than Kurt. Hope to see LEtran in the Final 4 again in Season 100.

Game against UE now is a great test of far they've come so far. Defending arguably the best fsa in uaap next season is already a tall task for team that only has one guy thats 6'6 and not even playing that much

IMO Miko should resign and give way to his batchmate.
