Alter? he is a sophomore. I don't think tomorrow's game is his last.

No more playing years—- Cagulangan, QMB, David and Ramiro

Rumored to be going pro —- KQ

Those whose last playing year is next season - All the NU boys of UP (Alarcon, Felicilda, Fortea, Torres, Abadiano), Mike Phillips and CJ Austria

      • This year is UP's best chance to win the chip because their roster will be significantly weaker especially with the departure of QMB and Cagulangan. There's a good chance that UP might not make it back to the Finals next season.

Cagulangan will be replaced by Remogat, who finished second to KQ in the MVP race last year.

I think the loss of KQ for DLSU is a bigger loss actually. For all the hype regarding his transfer, Amos is no KQ.

Hes 3 years younger. A big reason why tamayo and kq lit the league up early. Was that during their rookie years they were as old amos is right now probably

UP's remaining bigs such as Alter, Udodo, and perhaps Nnokura are either very raw or very limited (Stevens) to challenge La Salle Bigs Phillips and Amos. UP's recent success can be attributed to having talented bigs from Akohuite, Diof, and now QMB. They don't have that luxury in season 88. I don't even know why UP was so high trying to get Alter in the first place. He hasn't improved a bit since he came over 2 years ago.

The departure of the NU core coincides with the college arrival of Kiefer Alas and Gemao (both potentially generational). I'm expecting a ridiculous bidding war. Personally want them in D1 but offers would be hard to resist. Lucky timing for them.

It's like our generational players came in sequence...centers first in Kai and Edu, then forwards in Carl, KQ, Amos and now hopefully guards in Gemao and Alas.

I think it will be a bidding war if Louie Alas isnt coaching Ateneo in 2026.

There will be a bidding war regardless. Even if Coach Louie is there, other teams will still try.

So much layers to it...La Salle is his current team, Ateneo is where his dad is and UP is where the $ is plus roster hole. It will be wild. Hopefully, it doesn't stagnate his trajectory. D1 really is the way to shield him from distractions.

                    • Isn’t Gemao already eligible in Season 88, assuming he decides to play in the Philippines? Anyway, he’s locked in UP if he decides to go here.

Alas is not certain. He’s eligible in Season 89 and Tab’s contract with Ateneo ends after Season 88. It’s possible Louie Alas will be their new coach. In that case, I’d figure Ateneo would have the inside track on hi

Gemao is in a good situation with his prep team, an extra year there (which is allowed) would give him better chances for D1. And even if UP has dibs on him, staying in the US longer will likely make them raise the bid.

                          • Hopefully Gemao and Kiefer would be the Parks Vs Kiefer part 2.
Both of those guys lived up to the hype.
