Was in attendance for game 2 and I must say Topex is the perfect college coach. The players have fully bought in to his love the team culture. The LaSalle team really felt like a brotherhood and he let the players talk almost themselves during the break to start the 4th.

KQ is a different animal and is the best UAAP player by far this century. He didn't force the issue and attacked within the flow of the offense and took over when he got hot.

UP outside of maimai does not know how to play with QMB. He got position over Philips and Gonzales multiple times and UP ended up jacking shots.

I noticed so many teams have assistant coaches, but I think they need to invest in shooting coaches. Even if you take out the last minute, the averages of FT % in the uaap is below par

You can get that in the PBA. Only for Ginebra though.

SBU should ditch that second rate NCAA and join the UAAP. Once they’re able to recruit FSAs again they can be competitive there. They have that MVP money backing them.

Mikee Reyes is happy, he's not the only infamous UP ft choker anymore.

But no one's talking about those 3 huge swished 3 pointers in crunch time by KQ. UP could already taste the champagne before he started hitting those ridiculous bombs. QMB was the only one who countered with a fg but KQ kept draining and made a huge assist to Mike.

This is why DLSU was favored "before" the Finals began. They had the best player of the last 2 seasons and were defending champs.

It seems that aside from KQ and Mike, DLSU hasn't been playing well while most of the UP squad has been playing well or upholding their roles. Even Lebron has been surprisingly excellent (except for that last minute), and yet it stands at 1-1.

Do or die games usually have an unexpected x-factor...and with law of averages...I have a feeling an extra Archer will play well.

Those were two isolated possessions. Unless you have advanced stats showing his post-ups are less efficient than the league average, it doesn’t prove “it ain’t it.” Every player will turn the ball over if they handle it enough. The cumulative stats provide a more accurate and holistic view.
