  • Topex got out coached. Couldnt generate conistent half court sets against UP for KQ. Then again KQ cant operate as a creator. Cant dribble , cant run a pick and roll and his bread and butter is a tall movement shooter

KQ actually torched UP in the first half with 18 points before going completely cold when Bayla started guarding him. KQ finished with one point in the second half.

6'3-6'4. Was pleasantly surprised at his developement as guard, much more as a 1. Back in san beda i believe he was used more as 3 or point forward.

He was trained by Delta to be a PG in his stable of U-18 cabalens

            • Hes nowhere near 6’4 hes closer to 6’2 . Hes built like Ricci and he doesnt have the feel for a game a natural 1 would have.

He is actually, theres a pic of him standing side by side with fellow ex san beda recruits Ed Mundas and James Nacua and both are listed 6'4, he's almost at both their height. Theres also group pic with the dlsu players, with him standing beside alian who's at 6'1, which you could see the height difference. In the same pic he's standing behind the 6'3 gollena and you could tell he's slightly taller than him if they are side by side.

As for the feel for the game, i could understand since thats not his natural position nor was he utilized as one in his earlier years. I mean training as one is way different than actually being a pg in live games. Still kinda young so he might still develop it tho he does need the reps in that position. At worst he can still be a valuable 2 guard thats has some size to him, maybe similar to dwight ramos or bobby ray parks.

Yah he looks sneaky long (compared to obvious tall). Probably has wider than usual wingspan also.

For gilas context, it's not farfetched to see him do pg roles that Iskati does. In the triangle, long guards (that can make easy short passes) is an advantage while playmaking can come from anyone. And it's wild someone can already assess his "natural feel" based on just limited minutes/role. He executed a few pick and rolls and actually improvised on the fly.

                    His defense is what matters.

Say what you want about Denok and his ego but he snagged Prince Carino and this kid. Plus hes letting the kid play PG at that height. Wish more coaches would be as open as he is.

                      • Ateneo adds 3 more shs-adc boys. 2 of which, Rota and Fjellvang giving them some much needed size.

I havent seen them this year but from what I saw from last year, Rota is the gem.

Still is i believe but having fjellvang gives them depth at the position and will give ong some competition at the 5 spot and will let porter play some more pf minutes. Surprised they havent nabbed sharpshooter and finals mvp froilan maglasang along with the trio.
