and 3-4 of them will be left to the streets forced to play panalay games. Its tough for FSA’s

They had 5 FSA prospects before to prepare for the post Ange period. I just think they made a mistake not going with Godslove, who is in D1 and getting minutes every game even if the production isnt anything to write home about. Definitely a legit D1 talent is better than what they chose.

hahahaha literally every one else would've been a better choice than who they were left with last season.

altho i wonder whether godslove left whether balogun was chosen over him or just because a prep school - ncaa div 1 route presented itself.

NU, UP and FEU have good problems to deal with as all three have quality FSA's on their lineups (not sure about Shelton but if Coach SC recruited him then there must be something in him)
i dont mind sticking to the 1 FSA rule. i think a better option would be to have a small reserve pool so if one goes down, they can yank a player from the reserve/team B to take place of a played lost to injury for the season. something like in the ncaa. one of the reserve players could be a FSA.

Always believed the reason he left is because he wasnt really the type of player that ateneo was looking far as angge's replacement. Seems like they needed a true big man and back then when godslove was still with ateneo, he was more of a small ball 4, playing with a high motor, reminds me a lil bit of kenneth faried, and peter osang. And since he wasnt that strong or tall (was listed 6'7 before) compared to the other fsa's, he'll be eaten alive by the momoweis or konatehs during the uaap season. I mean imagine pairing him with amos(assuming he didnt left) and their post defense will be a nightmare.

As for balogun, still want to see what he can do during the offseason, felt like the long injury layover affected his confidence and chemistry with his teammates. Out of all the fsas in ateneo(only saw the other 2 in glory be, both seem like projects, neither were really starting), balogun is currently still their best option and with a uaap season under his belt, he should have the advantage coming to the offseason. So if i were him, he should now work on his game more and show why ateneo got him in the first place.

Probably better to look somewhere else if you're going to push that naiive view. We all know where Ange is, Obasa is also playing overseas after getting a degree, Godslove who got "discarded" is in D1 while another one who didn't make the team was put in the football team instead.

These FSAs that flock to Manila are like TNT Pinoys in the US. Their situation maybe challenging and not ideal, but it's still better than where they came from. It can't be compared to let's say sex-trafficked women who are practically imprisoned. These guys are free to do whatever they want and they choose to stay.

Sure there are some who get taken advantaged of, just like how migrants everywhere in the entire world get taken advantaged of, I'd save my energy for abused OFWs.

you named 3 of countless others. Those are the good ones. Those who suck are just taking up space in panalay leagues

Abuse is abuse just because some have it better doesn’t lessen the circumstance. These guys are treated like mercenaries. If they aren’t good enough or useful kicked out of the dorm, no scholarship.

I feel that Mapua have better diskarte than UP on offense.

                    • Only JD and QMB have above-average BB IQ for UP. The coaching staff has to work on the players' decision-making skills for Season 88.

How many years left for john?

                        • UP's coaching staff and guards seem to idolize Chot Reyes in making bigs just screeners.

Depends, if akowe is better than both them highly doubt nu lets him leave. Currently cant really say since akowe is playing kids his age whose bodies are probably mot that developed compared to the srs players.

                            • Rubico has been impressive in limited action towards the end of the eliminations and against Adamson in the Final 4. I was wrong to hastily disregard him. If he can keep it up, that'll be a huge help to get some help for David & Ramiro.
