I can't say it came as a surprise but Rubico has been an utter disappointment. He doesn't get minutes from a DLSU squad that's lacking a real PG? He was supposedly the NCAA Jrs MVP had his team qualify for F4 but it seems like he's not polished or strong enough to male an impact in the Srs.
I like Bahay as well, you can see he has great court vision, very crafty, and has a nice touch. He reminds me of Belangel, both are so mature for their age. Bahay probably needs a better supporting crew though so his game will stand out even further cause right now teams are focusing / collapsing their defense on him.

Topex initially recruited this kid but I don't really get it why they won't let him play when they lack a PG. LPU homecoming might be a good move
Lets set things straight: the kid is simply not ready. As I said, the starting PG is a converted PG in Josh David and they last minute recruited Lian Ramiro as his back up since they can't trust anyone else as PG including Rubico.

He was given a chance to play prior to the UP game and what did he do? He turned the ball over 3 times in a span of 2 minutes. He's simply not there. I doubt he'll be able to help any team regardless if it's NCAA or UAAP given his level of play currently.

I actually think the best place for him to develop is still in DLSU as the arrival of Cortez and Kean relieves him off pressure while he hones his skills with Phenom and get stronger with their S&C coach and nutritionist.

The arrival of starting caliber 2 PGs may seem a lot but consider that Topex has a huge rotation and not to mention they don't have anyone else outside of him and Dungo to play PG after Cortez and Kean as both Josh and Ramiro will have graduated already.

A very good example is how a lot of fans posted after the Bahay incident that UP fans don't harbor ill will against players who decide to play for other schools. Fast forward the first game of the season, and Bahay gets thoroughly booed by the UP crowd to the point that JD Cagulangan had to say something about it in the press conference after.

Likewise, UP fans point to Mans Carpio whenever someone brings up Jonvic Remulla's ties to UP. But Mans isn't the main or prominent face among the DLSU boosters (I'd argue it's Ricky Razon, or even the Villavicencios). He's also not the first person these DLSU players thank whenever they acknowledge their team managers. Contrast that to how UP players revere Jonvic. These players know who's the real "boss" behind the scenes, otherwise they would be thanking Ma'am Robina.

To be fair to UP there was a time that Jonvic was being boo'd when he was show on the big screen. The powers that be in the program dont care though.

            • In men's football, FEU have had a lot of dangerous attacks on La Salle's goal. FEU currently up 1-0 at halftime.

They boo'd him and used every play in the book to justify his association with the team on social media. Hilarious.

                • In the UP-Ateneo men's football game, Ateneo 1-0 up off a counter.

2-0 Ateneo after 86. Man. That Carino kid is good.

                    UP cannot get a goal.

Man, three points in three games. One win, two losses. Despite that, we're a point off La Salle for Final Four contention, and we have a game in hand.

We need to win against La Salle and UE, and maybe at least draw against FEU.

You nailed it, based on early reports.

Was it both? Read that only Topex got a warning.

When it comes to questionable funding, DLSU is the true GOAT. Danding Cojuangco funded the La Salle program using Coco Levy funds. That's why half of La Salle's UAAP championship trophies belong to the Filipino people.

However, we must not be naive as well. Just follow the events, and you could easily infer what's really going on.
DLSU isn't off the hook as far as questionionable funding is concerned. Danding Cojuangco essentially laundered money from the Coco Levy Funds by funding the La Salle program for decades.
